Re: In Home Sleep Study

I have been a CPAP patient for six weeks. My HMO cancelled in house sleep studies. I came in and picked up a monitor for my finger and dropped it off the next morning. They were able have a machine ready for me with the right RX from that monitor. I am sure many other clinics tec. are doing the sam...

Re: Has your quality of life improved much after using CPAP machines?

I was dosing off after breakfast and feeling tired most of the time. When I worked out it only made me feel worse. Really started to get crazy this October. I had my pulse and blood pressure going nuts. I would be sitting still and suddenly feel like I had drank two pots of coffee. I was in the ER f...

Re: I Have Developed Incredible Sinus Dryness In The last Few Days

Marylander, The sleep clinic at my HMO told me not to use any product that have petroleum. I haven't asked why in detail but I have found a few warnings from medical write ups including Mayo Clinic. It appears you can put Vicks on a tissue outside of the input on the machine but you are never are su...

Pugsy, What are you temp and humidity setting in Winter? I take no medications not even over the counter. I only take a probiotic and a multi-vitamin in the morning.

Re: I Have Developed Incredible Sinus Dryness In The last Few Days

Does anybody out there use the heat Climate Line hose for the AirSense 10? Should I go back to the regular hose? What humidity setting are you using this time of year?

Re: I Have Developed Incredible Sinus Dryness In The last Few Days

Thanks Marylander, Did you ever used the heated hose? The weather changed but I live in San Diego and my furnance only kicks on in the early morning. As much as it kicks on I wouldn't think that should add add too much to my dryness. I have been running a portable humidifier but not in the bedroom w...

Re: I Have Developed Incredible Sinus Dryness In The last Few Days

Does anyone ever feel hyper or overcharged from the PAP theory? I have from time to time (like today). It's like I got too much from it. I have from the start try to get seven hours of time on the machine at night.

Re: I Have Developed Incredible Sinus Dryness In The last Few Days

I find that Lanisoh (name brand for lanolin) works very well to prevent dryness brought on by pap use. I put a tiny amount on the end of each pinky finger, then spread that from the opening of each nostril to as far as I can reach. Lanisoh is sold in the baby areas of any drug store or stores like ...

Though I did wake up about an hour and half after i laid down for the night with my heart pounding a little hard than norma...
