Re: Another newb
Just read the whole thread and it's inspiring how you moved from horrible results with the Dreamstation Go to these great looking ones. Well done! Also, the algorithm of the dreamstation go with all those pressure spikes look really uncomfortable when comparing to the mostly smooth gradual changes ...

Re: Another newb
Unfortunately I don't remember those settings. I ramped up the pressure very slowly, so it was a subtle onset. Just gotten to the point it wakes me up and I have to clear out some burps and what not. Disrupts sleep more than anything else. Wife doesn't have any appreciation for it either. Really nic...

Re: Another newb
AHI and sleep quality have definitely improved. Fighting a bit of aerophagia though. Considering reducing the max to 11 since 95% of the time it's under that, and either slowing reducing the minimum pressure down to 6.4 from 7.4, or increasing EPR to 3 from 2. Not sure what route I should take. Any ...

Re: airsense 10 time to write/upload data
That's probably it. Didn't think to set the clock on the new machine, and it was 2 hours ahead with Oscar set to the correct local time. Reset it and will check in the morning.
Thanks for the help!

airsense 10 time to write/upload data
Just got an airsense 10, and noticed it's taking quite some time to write data to the sdcard, as well as upload to myair. This morning I waited until it was done with it's cooldown cycle to pull the sdcard, but it still doesn't have the data from last night. I've been coming back in the afternoons t...

Re: Just Found the Respironics Pico
Thanks for that review! I’m still in search for the right nasal mask, only been on cpap for 3 months. Did you happen to try the wisp nasal? Any comparison? I’m using it now and generally happy with it. Only thing that’s aggravating is the vent. Wish more manufactures used diffusers like the p10

Re: Help! DreamStation performance issues and Oscar data
Being relatively new to cpap therapy myself, I too was surprised when I'd wake up in the middle of the night breathing effortlessly thinking my cpap wasn't on. I'd pull my mask off slightly and feel the air flow to realize it was actually working fine. You get used to it over time. Heck at first, 4c...

Re: Melatonin Dosage
Microdosing melatonin works best for me. If I take 3mg+, I fall asleep fine, but wake up multiple times throughout the night wide awake. I've read that larger doses may inhibit your own production of melatonin. I'm not a doctor so don't quote me on that! I take 300mcg (micrograms), so 1/10th the usu...

Re: PR Flex settings
There is no set amount of relief at each setting because the amount is based on your own flow rate or forcefulness of your breathing but the most you can get is 2 cm drop during exhale at a setting of 3 and you get that only if you breathe forcefully. http://i.imgur.com/F81Oxbtl.jpg Do resmed machi...
