Re: SoClean 2 and cleaning
I have heard it is recommended to dump out the water everyday so mold cannot grow in the tank and give you a respiratory infection. That’s what I’ve heard, if I’m wrong someone will definitely correct me they know everything here lol One hears a lot of things, most of them are based on ignorance, b...

Re: Recently privately diagnosed,...in the UK but unsure of next steps.
OK, so I have just received my AirSense 10 with P10 pillow masks. I have a couple of questions about initial setup : What is a good range of settings to start with based on my results? It defaults to 4 - 20, which presumably is too large a range. Do I want to enable Expiratory Pressure Relief from ...

Re: SoClean 2 and cleaning
Hello all! I am a new CPAP user and have had it for about a month. I purchased a SoClean with the rest of my equipment. My question is, what should my cleaning schedule be? I use my SoClean every day after I wake up and I also use mask wipes to clean my mask every day. How often should I be using s...

Re: Cpap supply sale
Check Amazon for the heated hose. No prescription required for hoses...heated or non heated...from cpap.com but cpap.com does require a RX to be on file if you want a complete mask package. Now replacement parts don't require a RX from cpap.com. Sometimes cheaper to by the parts and build your own ...

Re: Cpap supply sale
Cpap.com is the forum sponsor, but the forum otherwise doesn't have anything to do with the sales aspect of anything - call them (number at top of their website) for info, but suggest you call 'tubes' hoses, which is what all of us do here (and on that website). You don't need a script for them or ...

Re: I wake up sleeping on my hands every night and it’s going to cause a problem
Listen to the frog ... that is a carpal tunnel symptom for sure. Been there, done that, have the (very hard to see) scars to show for it. Here's the thing ... don't ignore the numbness! It only gets worse and if ignore culminates in some loss of function. Care to know how I know? Experience! I have...

Re: I wake up sleeping on my hands every night and it’s going to cause a problem
My thought is that your back injury may have resulted in some tightness around nerves. Injuries in youth can trigger arthritis years later, often sooner than we expect. Arthritis tends to narrow the pathways through which nerves need to pass. A brace can help, but only temporarily--same with physic...

Re: I wake up sleeping on my hands every night and it’s going to cause a problem
The same thing happens to me when I sleep on my stomach or side. I do have carpal tunnel that flares up from time to time, but it seems like I had the hand numbness when sleeping in certain positions before carpal tunnel was a problem for me. I believe the numbness/ tingling can be caused by lack o...

Re: I wake up sleeping on my hands every night and it’s going to cause a problem
Don't blame apnea. See a doctor. My carpal tunnel started out this way, but I was foolish and blamed it on my sleeping position. Then the numbness stayed--for 3 months, while I waited for my surgery. The numbness went away right before surgery, but I had the surgery anyway to prevent it from happen...

I wake up sleeping on my hands every night and it’s going to cause a problem
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. So I haven’t been able to sleep on my back for quite some time. When i was a teen my back broke or something and when it healed after a week I didn’t sleep on it for years. After it got better and I finally felt fine sleeping on it all was well but...

Re: Would like to buy a Cpap in ~2 weeks, Preference Resmed airsense 10
I have bought several machines from LSAT. 2 or 3 for my own personal use and at least 3 for other people that I end up shipping around the world. I totally trust him. His prices are very fair and the machines are always as presented. Send him a note and ask him what he has now or will be getting in...

Re: Would like to buy a Cpap in ~2 weeks, Preference Resmed airsense 10
I've bought a few machines of public buy/sell sites. Things to watch out for: High hour machines, many sellers don't know how to properly check run hours and sometime confuse run hours with usage hours over a smaller time period. Misrepresenting machines, many sellers don't even know the actual mod...

Re: Would like to buy a Cpap in ~2 weeks, Preference Resmed airsense 10
Check your local Craig's List and Facebook Marketplace. People sell machines on those sites quite often. I’m kind of afraid to buy from Craigslist but I was looking at Facebook market place. I feel the Facebook has less anonymity and I think you can review people so I will also be checking there. I...
