Re: Dreamstation 2 - For Sale, Unopened
But there are many others who have no interest in looking at detailed data. This is so true. My husband just put his mask on 5 years ago and fell asleep. He had a Dreamstation and used it until they sent him the Dreamstation 2. He was not concerned about the recall. He has never been interested in ...

Two quick mask questions
1. What happens if you sneeze while using the Bleep system? Or even if you have some nasal drip? Seem like that would be icky and if you are prone to nasal drip, it might not be the best choice? 2. If you use a night guard for bruxism is the Tap Pap a good "two for one" way to go, or are you likely ...

Re: large leaks -- when to worry
I think the machine might be reacting to flow limitations with that initial large rise of pressure? There's never any event noted and the flow rate graphs are very regular. There is sometimes one taller/deeper breath but it doesn't extend longer, if that makes sense. I was trying to copy and paste j...

Re: large leaks -- when to worry
Okay, I should have phrased that better. Something awakened me in the 7 minutes that the machine went from 7-15. Upon waking the intensity of the pressure was such that I could not easily fall back asleep so I restarted the machine.

Re: large leaks -- when to worry
I raised my minimum, and last night the initial pressure leap after falling asleep went above 15. The noise from the machine (I can relate to the discussion about the Resmed Autoset 10 and noise) and the burst of pressure woke me up! I was able to get back to sleep fairly quickly though and the seco...

Oh that is weird. But yes, I have "Pillows" selected.

Re: large leaks -- when to worry
I'm using the P10. I tried several other nasal cradle types but this seems to move around the least.

Re: large leaks -- when to worry
Well, that went well. I would totally take this if I can get a couple more hours before waking! The pressure did go over the former max, but not for long. And there was more up and down of pressure. And this was just one night, but I'll keep on with the regular mode and see what happens. Thanks for ...

Re: large leaks -- when to worry
That is really fascinating. I'll be interested to see what happens when I change the mode tonight.

Re: large leaks -- when to worry
Nasal cycle. Who knew! Glad to know it's normal if annoying. Thanks for the suggestions. I will give the regular mode a try. And then see about further tinkering. I'll also put the max up just in case the machine wants to do something there. And I will keep this thread so I can go back to you all's ...

Re: large leaks -- when to worry
Yeah, I don't know why I have several of these settings. I'm open to changing them. I really don't know what they do. I mean I know on paper but I don't know how it would affect me. Like a higher EPR means that there's more difference in pressure between breathing in and breathing out. If having it ...

Re: large leaks -- when to worry
Thank you all for your input. As to Pugsy's questions: 1. Congestion issues. Well yes and no. During the day I do not feel congested and I breathe through my nose just fine. When I lie down I notice that sleeping on my side the "downhill' side begins to feel blocked. Turn over and "stuff" deep in my...

large leaks -- when to worry
I'm back -- It's been months. After starting and stopping several times I've really committed to using this thing. I've tried so many masks but the P10 seems to work the best as far as comfort. It's been a month now of regular use, although some nights it's only about 5 hours with the machine. Other...

Re: trying to adjust
Thanks. I will try that. I figure I have time to work on one thing at a time and take this slow now that insurance isn't watching. Better to do that than quit all together this time.
