Fit Question Airfit F30i
I have been using a Dremwear nasal mask. I have a Resmed Aircurve 10 ASV. The on screen sleep report usually shows a happy face for mask seal. But when I bring in the sleep data into the myAir app the mask seal score is often under 15, sometimes as low as 9 or 10. I have not loaded my data into OSCA...

Re: Oscar Question
I recommend you update to OSCAR 1.2.0 and then use Data > Rebuild ... to rebuild your data from backup. Several problems that could result in this error were fixed in OSCAR 1.2.0. I'll do that when I get the chance. When did 1.2.0 come out because this is the first time I got this since I started t...

Oscar Question
My Oscar chart for last night has a couple of notes that I have not seen before.
Mode/Pressure settings are guessed on this day
All settings shown below are based on assumptions that nothing has changed since previous days
Just curious about this.

Re: Aircurve OA Flagging
I am very hesitant to change the settings to try to fix a leak issue with your machine because of your problem. The person I suggested adding EPR in...that was to more mimic what he had been using on the Respironics machine since he was using Flex. With your ASV machine it's the PS that is similar ...

Re: Aircurve OA Flagging
ResMed machines with back up rates (ASV and a few others) don't use the FOT thing to differentiate between OAs and central apneas. It's never really been fully explained as to why they don't but since they don't use FOT they lump all apneas in the UA unclassified apnea basket. It's just the way the...

Re: New machine causing issues
I don't want to hijack this thread with my own Oscar charts but I'm interested in this topic also. I've switched from Respironics to Resmed and I am getting the same Large Leak flagging. More leaks flagged with Resmed than Respironics. I know the Oscar reports are more informative than the Resmed Ha...

Aircurve OA Flagging
I am on day 8 of using an Aircurve ASV. Previously I've used Respironics machines. The Respironics always flagged some obstructive events. The Respironics has not flagged even one OA event in 8 days. Is that possible that the Aircurve treats an OA event so much better than Respironics that I would n...

Re: Resmed Humidifier Not Very Warm
I did a similar warmup test on my ResMed Airsense 10 Auto and noticed the plate was not very warm either. On a typical night in our house with a RH of 50% (outside is usually 85% in summer as we are in the Deep South) I use somewhere between 2/3 of my water reservoir to almost none. I have not thou...

Resmed Humidifier Not Very Warm
I'm on day 3 of using a Resmed Aircurve after being a Respironics user. With Respironics my water tank lowered quite a bit during the night and the heat plate was hot to the touch. With Resmed I don't seem to be using much water during the night. I didn't think of checking for how warm the heat plat...

Re: Respironics vs. Resmed Hypopnea Flagging
I'll ask this question on this thread since I have a chart posted. Why isn't there a clear airway flag event category? Is that something that the Aircurve 10 ASV does not flag?

Re: Respironics vs. Resmed Hypopnea Flagging
Does Resmed respond to hypopneas better? Or is the requirements different on the two machines to determine a hypopnea event? The whole idea is prevention in the first place. While there is a small difference in the definition criteria for a hyponea between the two brands it really isn't enough of a...

Respironics vs. Resmed Hypopnea Flagging
I used an Aircurve 10 for the first time last night. Before I used a System One and then for about a week I was using a Dreamstation. I felt like I had a better night than I ever had with a Respironics product. The reports on this forum are right, it is a better machine than Respironics and I encour...

Re: Leak Rate And Pressure Question
Typically the over the nose nasal cushion type gets "nasal". The kind we have seen since time began with nasal masks. We are now seeing a lot more of the under the nose cushions...what used to be called cradle cushions back when I first started therapy but there were only a couple of types availabl...

Re: Leak Rate And Pressure Question
The mask type setting isn't going to be life or death critical but we want it as close as possible. Actually most likely your DreamWear nasal pillow mask will most likely be classified as "pillow" on the ResMed. Even though it comes in under the nostrils it it still a nasal pillow mask. Heck, there...
