Does anyone use the virtuox vpod ultra? Does Oscar read it and illustrate the data? Or do you use another software?
Any other ideas for reliable wrist-ox? The CMS50F reviews are very mixed regarding quality of the unit/battery etc. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Re: Humidifiers and dry mouth question
Just read that alcohol in mouthwash can cause dry mouth. I've been using a mouthwash containing alcohol (Listerine) before bed and having very dry mouth with ffm. Switching to a different wash without alcohol (crest). Hope that helps.

Re: Only 4hrs continuous sleep with CPAP
Years of poor sleep create a learned pattern and expectation in your brain. It sounds like you have the apneas under control. It might be helpful to look at icbt similar to Cleveland Clinic Gotosleep program. The program is simple and online. It will first prompt you to eliminate any activity except...

Re: New to cpap, dialing in settings myself. Cant get periodic breathing and centrals under control
I had similar issues with centrals and periodic breathing. In my case they resolved quickly by turning off auto and using a fixed pressure instead, by turning off flex/epr and by Shifting to ffm ( which you already have).

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.
Started 8 weeks ago. Mild apnea (9.5). First 4 weeks were very difficult and confusing. AHI was generally higher than sleep test level. AHI is now .3-1.6 pretty consistently. What Ive learned: - after years of horrible sleep and insomnia/multiple wakings, they continued in first weeks of cpap and I ...

Humidifiers and dry mouth question
Hi- Wondering if anyone has opinions on both the Respironics and Resmed humidifiers. I am using Respironics CPAP at fixed pressure of 10.5 with the full face mask ( the mask is nasal cushion with full mask over mouth for those unfamiliar). I get incredibly dry mouth every night, while machine uses a...

Respironics dreamwear ffm leak solution
1.5 month user of cpap. Found that dreamwear ffm Full face worked best for me but had major continuous leaks as a side sleeper. Seems to have resolved completely by taking a small piece of tape and taping across the lower strap onto face near where the strap meets the mask. Prevented mask movement w...

Re: CPAP - Struggling To Get 7 to 9 Hours
I have a similar experience. I think it is due to years of waking early because of untreated apnea. The pattern of waking becomes learned. Cleveland Clinic has an app GoToSleep $40 that is ICBT to address that and Im starting that program. Just started using late night light 10K lux for about 2 hour...

Self-adjustment experience
With the help of this board I have had success quickly getting AHI down from 12 to .3 in a few weeks. Tricky data in the middle showing central apneas seems to have been due to pressure changes ( ramp and EPAP ). Switching to fixed pressure and switching to a FFM vs nasal cushion, CA has been elimin...
