Re: Major weight loss and high pressure issues

Re: Major weight loss and high pressure issues

I pretty much ignore 95% pressures. If minimum of 6 shows good numbers then why would I want to see minimum of 7 numbers? Go by how you feel when/if you are worrying about "numbers". If going by just the numbers I am laying odd on a minimum of 4 will give you good "numbers". Now will you feel so go...

Re: Major weight loss and high pressure issues

Physically....your OSA is more than being well treated. Lower minimum and the AHI is still low and you aren't complaining of any unwanted symptoms about worrying about the pressure settings. That means things are okay. Now whether or not you want to experiment with lower pressures or not.....that's...

Re: Major weight loss and high pressure issues

I had my appointment today with my doctor. She thought it would be good to wait on the sleep study too. So I guess I committed to that at least for now. Any advice on pressures from what you see? I can't pin down a starting pressure that fits. I didn't stay at 8 for more than one night...not sure if...

Re: Major weight loss and high pressure issues

You can always reschedule the sleep study for a later date. I would postpone if it were me and see how much more weight comes off. Especially if you are sleeping decently and feeling good. Thank you so much for all your advice. You have really helped me get to a point where I feel so much better.

Re: Major weight loss and high pressure issues

Last night was good. I am thinking of holding off on my sleep study a few more months until my weight loss levels off since I can only get one per year and I have been feeling a lot better as we have lowered my pressures. I'm thinking I have to be getting close to possibly not needing the cpap but t...

Re: Major weight loss and high pressure issues

Dude! You are posting some gorgeous charts there. If leaks bother you, you can think about leak suppression; aside from that, let's just say you've found a very sweet spot. Your job now is to pay attention to how you feel during the day and then consider trying to up your game on some of these area...

How did you sleep last night? Numbers alone tell me nothing about sleep itself.

The little increases in pressure....probably REM stage sleep related would be my best guess unless maybe you were on your back at those times.
pretty good overall that night

Re: Major weight loss and high pressure issues

I wanted to thank everyone that has commented advice. It has been much appreciated. Here are my last few nights with the last picture at the bottom showing a pressure adjustment. I dropped my pressure down from 7 to 6 and noticed AHI went back up some. I noticed my leak rate went up a lot from wher...

Re: Major weight loss and high pressure issues

Still seems to look pretty good. A few burps here and there. Body is still trying to get used to it I'm sure. Probably not completely rested but also no sick feeling. Really not bad overall.

Re: Major weight loss and high pressure issues

Well the first session of close to six hours looked ok for the most part. I went to the restroom and came back to sleep for an additional hour and forty minutes and had one maybe OA and several random centrals but who knows if they were real or if my body was just trying to get back to sleep.I guess...

Re: Major weight loss and high pressure issues

Thank you for the advice. I felt like this was a good stopping point but I wanted to make sure I didn’t already go too far down.
