Pretty certain these CAs are SWJ But Need Opinions

Hello All, I REALLY appreciate this forum. I have a question for the experts here. Even though last night's graph is way higher AHI than usual, I oftentimes get CAs showing up when I know I am awake in bed, either after a pee break or else early in the morning when I wake up and am lying in bed tryi...

Re: Possible to have nocturia/frequent peeing during night even with successful CPAP treatment

Just bend over and try to relax.   The following is deviating from the topic so delete if inappropriate. Speaking of prostate exams, my doctor fired me many years ago after she completed a prostate exam on me. I asked her why she would not see me any more as a patient. She the...

between 2 to 3 times a night with the second and times after that not being a lot of pee If you are male and the second time and later are not a lot of pee, it could possibly be an enlarged prostate. Just a thought. Cannot be diagnosed in a forum! So as others said here before me, def see your doc!

Re: Dreamwear nasal cushion issue help

Many in this forum may remember the Supremes singing group out of Motown. When they rejigged after producers Holland-Dozier-Holland left the company they changed to Afro hair style, even though IIRC their hair was not especially curly before, though it wasn't usually skimpy. Man, those were the goo...

WOW! Great story and great writing. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your adventure. I am just so sorry all of this had to happen to you... seem like such a good guy. It's too late now, but with all of your knowledge and through the help of this forum, maybe you could have found a great deal on a machin...

Re: Off CPAP for life! LCHF now

+1 Sugar (all carbs excluding fiber and sugar alcohols) cause the body to release insulin. As insulin causes blood sugar to be absorbed in to cells, we feel hungry again and it repeats. Keto and low carb aim to control that by reducing the swing. I'm a type 2 diabetic. While practicing low carb my ...

Re: Off CPAP for life! LCHF now

OP, with all due respect, could you please post another pic? Going by your profile pic/avatar, you say you lost a lot of weight but your face and neck do not necessarily look thin. Maybe that is an old pic? It just makes it hard to believe that your sleep apnea just went away! Again I mean no disres...

Re: COVID-19 spread and CPAP

As a side note, I have come across research lately that indicates people with OSA do have a higher chance of COVID being severe for them even if they don't have any other health issues. Not related to your question, I know, but might be something you'd be interested in if you're not already aware o...

Re: Hiking with CPAP

I have been wondering the same thing. I am considering purchasing a Philips Dreamstation Go for backpacking. I would love to hear what the consensus is here. I definitely would not want to carry my full size Philips or Resmed unit plus battery on a backpack trip. Way too heavy. I'd have to leave the...

Thanks so much to the development team.
I love the update, especially that I am able to have two profiles, one for each of my machines!
Do you all accept donations for your work? This is so greatly appreciated!

Re: Oscar : can't import datas from folder

Maybe this could be a workaround. Buy a blank SD card and just transfer the files to it exactly as they would have been on the original SD card. Then it may work because OSCAR would then see a card! Not sure but it's the best I've got not knowing the inner workings of OSCAR!!!

Re: How Often Do You All Look at Your OSCAR Stats?

Thank you all very much for your help. I think I’m going to make it a point to not check it nearly as much. Even though it’s kind of enjoyable and I do learn, I do get a little bit obsessive. I definitely check much more than AHI when I’m on OSCAR. Some of the metrics I still don’t understand comple...

How Often Do You All Look at Your OSCAR Stats?

OK maybe a weird question. I have only been in this CPAP world for a few months now. I have worked hard to get my nightly AHI average below 1.0. But something that has come out of this is I may be too obsessed. Every morning I feel the need to pop out my SD card, import into OSCAR and look at how I ...

Re: OSA and acid reflux, looking for advice

I can identify! I used to suffer from GERD really badly. Always had a jar of Tums on my night table. I was also very nervous traveling, fearing that if I forgot my Tums and I had an attack on a plane, I would probably panic. About five years ago I eliminated gluten from my diet and lo and behold it ...
