Re: Newbie Oscar results insight

Hi All, Thanks for the insight Mper. I wanted to follow up with what my doctor said right after this post and my lastest night oscar. Below is what my doctor said when eventually responding to my questions and to nights similar to those nights I have posted. She was right about not sleeping so I hav...

Re: Newbie Oscar results insight

Pugsy,
Thanks and good point. I do have a deviated septum which makes it hard to breath easily even when awake out of my left nostril so maybe that’s the problem.

Re: Newbie Oscar results insight

All, I have attached my last night oscar results with increase in pressure by my doctor to 12. I told her to wait for now on titration test to see how things go with new settings. I felt like I slept the longest I have ever slept last night though had a little difficulty falling asleep but not as mu...

Re: Newbie Oscar results insight

Thank you and yes I understand. Last night was a better night with no suffocating. My dr increased my max pressure to 12 and the highest I got was 11.98 so that seemed to possibly help. My I/E ratio was 1.55 so that was better too. I think I may give the new settings some time and hopefully it will ...

Re: Newbie Oscar results insight

Mper?! Thanks for all of the information. I contacted my sleep doctor and provided her with all of this information and response below. Do you think I should give it a try with changed settings or go in for a titration study? I don't know if she had changed it prior to yesterday but last night going...

Re: Newbie Oscar results insight

Julie, You are right about doctors! Because my sleep apnea is considered mild, these doctors think I am making some of this crap up! My PCP does not. She knows it’s not me because she has known me for years. I had to leave my town to go to a sleep neurologist and will discuss it with her on my follo...

Re: Newbie Oscar results insight

MPER!?, Thank you for all of this new insight. I am going to have to look at it closer and try to decifer what it all means. Hahahaha. As I am still learning the lingo. The good news is that I have upped my minimum number to 6 and it is not waking me up as badly. I am thinking about inching that up ...

Re: Newbie Oscar results insight

I have Oscar on my computer but attach from my iPad so it’s easier to take a picture with my iPad. I rarely use my computer and honestly don’t know how to save and attach pictures. It may take some time to figure that out. Sorry that I can’t do that yet.

Re: Newbie Oscar results insight

Thank you for all of this insightful information! This really helps. Someone mentioned CA but weirdly when I had my sleep study I did not have any central apnea events so maybe all of those are arousals. Last night I slept 5 hours in a row (which is really long for me) but didn’t feel as rested as y...

Re: Sleeping pills

During my sleep study they told me that if I needed to take it to sleep that that was OK. That they need to see me sleep at least a certain amount of time and if I didn’t sleep they wouldn’t be able to see anything.

Re: Machine is new to me after two hours of sleep wake up heart racing gasping for air

I am new to CPAP too and have an automatic machine. I felt like that too and the DME person set my machine with a lower pressure of air that I have to breathe against. She also told me to wear it when not trying to fall asleep to try to adjust to it which helped. I also felt like the nasal cushion m...

Newbie Oscar results insight

Hi everyone, I am new and just downloaded Oscar and am trying to get some insight how I am doing. I have been using my CPAP for about 3 weeks. I have tried 4 different masks and am trying to get used to using CPAP and the tube. I don’t have a hard time falling asleep but am woken up often with air p...

Re: Airsense 10 WiFi and SD card

Thanks for all of the advice and sorry if I haven’t replied so quickly. The cell service must have eventually worked because everything showed up finally about 3 days later. I am going to figure out the Oscar software but first need to get a sd card reader for my computer.

Re: Airsense 10 WiFi and SD card

Sorry for the confusion. I have had my CPAP for a week and a half. It was working fine and I could see my information in my Resmed app then since Friday with the new mask I cannot see any information on the app. I have Resmed SD card that I requested when I got my machine. There are 2 bars of cellul...
