Re: Error code 103 means what ?
That is very presumptuous the preb could be on a sofa not a chair. According to my camera manual there is an interface problem PEBSAK? PEBKAC Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair. About the same thing as excess operator headspace or ID 10 T code. Thank you, yes, you seem to have missed the poi...

Re: AirSense10 noise question
The rep said they may have to replace it. I’m gonna try to see if I can tell where the noise is coming from. But I got another call saying Medicare would not pay for the machine unless I do another at home sleep test. Grrrr. The first one was 2013. It’s such a pain in the fanny and an uncomfortable...

Re: Had it with local CPAP suppliers
Thanks everyone for your advice and experiences. I Amin Tulsa, Oklahoma, so I think I’ll start with the list of Medicare providers and cross reference them with the BCBS providers. I’ll likely be going on full Medicare in January (on Part A now), so I might as well find someone that I can stay with.

Re: Had it with local CPAP suppliers
Nothing wrong with wanting your cake and eating it too. Masks are expensive and we pay for our insurance and we want to use it when it benefits us. Don't blame you one bit. I am the same way. First you have to find one that will work with your insurance and be in network and then it's a crap shoot ...

Re: Had it with local CPAP suppliers
I tried Apria, that was a disaster. Then I tried Lincare. I use Lincare for the mask and it's parts, because they are in my insurance network, and it's been ok, with some hiccups. But for most inexpensive stuff, filters and the cheap unheated long hoses, I use www.cpap.com and just pay for it- much...

Re: Had it with local CPAP suppliers
I assume you are wanting whomever you get your supplies from to file your insurance for you so you don't pay up front....is that correct? Cpap.com doesn't file insurance in lieu of payment and Medicare won't reimburse either. Yes, I would like to stay in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and Medi...

Had it with local CPAP suppliers
The subject line says it all. I’ve tried several local DME suppliers for my CPAP supplies and none of them seem to give a whit about me, their customer. I think everyone has had a round with Crapria and they were my first. Not only poor customer service, but high prices as well. I’ve tried Sleep Rem...

Re: Help with acronyms
Yep...I forget about Google and the site search thing. I do use it myself sometimes when I know sort of what I want to find and can't find it easily with the forum search. I don't always remember to recommend it though and I should but I am old and I forget stuff.   Forget what? Who...

Re: Help with acronyms
I had forgotten, but Googlehas the power to search within a website for terms you specify. I tried: cpaptalk.com: swj and got so many hits it was almost worthless, but one of the hits was titled Sleep, Wake, Junk Google is so powerful I forget what it can do and know I’ve only scratched the surface.

Re: Help needed for my Mom
I looked up the CDCs stance on CPAP and COVID19. You can read it at this link. https://www.cdcr.ca.gov/covid19/wp-cont ... stions.pdf I’m not sure how this makes you feel, but it makes me so mad I want to strangle those at the CDC that think this! I’m not sure who you can contact, but I wish you lu...

Re: Help needed for my Mom
Hello, My Mom is currently in a Rehab facility for a broken leg. They will not allow her to have her Cpap machine. They say as per the CDC it is not allowed because of Covid-19. I have never heard of such a thing. She is 86 years old and has hear failure. I don't know who to contact or what to say ...

Re: heated tube for airsense 10
"Cold" air is relative. You are expecting "warm" air. You will never get it. Moving air feels cooler than it really is. You are not used to cpap yet, and that will take a while. It did for all of us. I think it’s a matter of personal perception. When I had my climate control set to auto it got so w...

Re: Help with acronyms
Agreed. But sometimes you don’t use the right search terms. I searched for SWJ and couldn’t find it. I just searched again and added sleep and it was the first hit after the ads.

Pes. Sounds like a term to add to the glossary.
