too much weight lifting will ruin your sleep. My sleep improved a lot when i stopped lifting weights. You will just have to sleep extra during the day and take naps. Your body wants to stay in light sleep to get the extra metabolic work done.

Re: Subject: Fragmented Sleep, FLs, Suspected UARS, REM Related. 5 Months of Optimization + EERS
CPAP can't fix phase disorder sleep and if you sleep at out of phase times, I think the sleep will be lighter and easier to arouse from, even without apneas. But CPAP still keeps your O2 from dropping so you should stay healthy as long as you get enough total sleep. A lot of great thinkers had that ...

Re: CPAP newb am I mouthbreathing?
Get a different mask to try. If you look at your leak line the base line is quite high to start with and is never at 0.0 for some reason and it should be. been seeing how loose i could wear it. It's really comfortable like this, but if it's not providing effective treatment I'll tighten it up. It s...

Re: CPAP newb RERA awakening
I would raise the min. from 4 to 6 to see how things go for a couple of nights Had the exact same thought. Maybe the CPAP isn't getting up to pressure fast enough to stop the airway closing, because it's set too low. I read the treatment for a RERA is pressure, like all other apneas. Getting pretty...

Re: Heart palpitations after starting cpap?
I just started CPAP and also noticed heart palpitations. Didn't have em before. I think it's just due to poor sleep because I'm not used to it yet.

for my first 2 nights, i seem to have the same pattern i fall asleep, about 1 hour later, i have a RERA on OSCAR i wake up 10 mins later, go to the bathroom, then don't put the mask back on. I'm trying to figure out if the RERA is causing the wake up, or if i wake up for some other reason, and takin...

Re: newb with borrowed CPAP
You can't use a machine used to treat apnea to rule out apnea. This is like putting on prescription glasses, seeing everything in focus and then ruling out you need glasses. yeah, that's what I thought too, guessing I'm asking how often this happens, with the pressure settings 4/10, that it treated...

newb with borrowed CPAP
I slept one hour only before going to bathroom and giving up. But it found no apneas during that hour. I'm pretty sure I've had apnea a few weeks ago, but I also quit back sleeping and mouth breathing. And I lost a few pounds. (middle-aged and overweight). Should I keep hunting for the apneas or is ...

Re: newb needs help analyzing oscar oximetry
yes, thanks pugsy, and julie you were also helpful.
I will try to borrow a resmed and set it to min 4 max 9 and see if i spend the whole night at 4, I probably don't have apnea.
If it moves up then I probably do and i know its worth saving up the cash to get it treated properly.

Re: newb needs help analyzing oscar oximetry
my dad has a backup machine and my mom doesn't really need hers anymore (plus she's concerned) I can get a hold of a airsense 10 and dreamstation auto cpap on a short term basis, can i use that special software on these models to do a superior sleep test? Like, is there a way to set the pressure to ...
