Re: Hello, new here!

I'm new to the forum but not to cpap/bipap usage and thought I might add a few things. Finding the right mask and learning to sleep with it is challenging. I went through a number of masks and even gave up, ceasing use of my first cpap for several months before giving it another try. Now, I can't s...

Re: Hello, new here!

Yes, I saw that the delivery of the mask liners is delayed until who knows when. Grrr. Are you sensitive to noise? If not, the N30i is an option that might interest you, especially given Pugsy’s remark about the ease of switching nasal mask for nasal pillow. If you are sensitive to noise, be aware ...

Re: Hello, new here!

If you can afford the experiment, I'd encourage you to try it. The fewer the linear millimeters in contact with your skin, the fewer the opportunities for leaks, so I'd suggest a nasal pillow mask. A lot of people do well with the ResMed P10, which is very light-weight. Try all three pillow sizes; ...

Re: Hello, new here!

Yes...you can mix machine brand and mask brand. That's not a problem. As for the others not chiming in. That tends to happen unless one of the other wants to offer a different opinion than mine. So they don't say much. I do the same thing when I go to a thread and someone has already said what I wo...

Re: Hello, new here!

Do you normally breathe through your nose easily day and night or do you have chronic nasal congestion issues that are such that you can't breathe easily through your nose and you just have to breathe through your mouth to be comfortable? If you can easily breathe only through your nose during the ...

Re: Hello, new here!

So I have been doing research all day and talking to people about sleep apnea and CPAP-therapy, and it's like a whole new world has open up to me and I have learned a lot more. f you read the thread you will see that I am struggling with CPAP-therapy and have not yet got it to work, even for one nig...

Re: Hello, new here!

Is the air from the machine still feeling too cool for your comfort level? If it is....crank it up to 30 C....that's as high as it will go. You can change it you know. If still too cool...what is the ambient temp in your bedroom? Ok, I didn't know that mine already was set at a high temp and that i...

Re: Hello, new here!

Hello and thank you for the reply. I will be sure to google that. I have put the machine and mask information in my profile now, I hope I did it right and that you are able to view it. Well, I breathe mostly through my mouth but sometimes my nose too, I think it's a combination of both. I am used t...

Re: Hello, new here!

With the ClimateLine hose plugged in and attached to the machine you should be able to adjust the hose air temperature so it isn't so cold feeling. Now bear in mind that even the maximum hose air temp of 86 degrees F....30 Celsius ....is still going to be cooler than your own body temp so it might ...

Re: Hello, new here!

Mask issues....that's IMHO the hardest part of the cpap journey. Where are you located? Can you normally breathe through your nose just fine or do you have chronic nasal congestion issues day and night causing you to physically need to breathe through your mouth? Did you get the heated hose with yo...

Re: Hello, new here!

Hello again, Fiji. Sorry to hear you're having problems with your Airfit F20 mask. (Could you put your machine and mask information in your profile so it'll be right there when people read your posts?) My first suggestion is that you try a mask liner. Google "Airfit F20 mask liner" to get started. ...

Re: Hello, new here!

Hello everyone, Wall of text incoming. Sorry for that and thank you for reading! I have now had the CPAP-machine for just about a month and have been getting to know it and trying to learn everything about it, including the settings alongside learning about sleep apnea and all that surrounds it. I a...

Re: Hello, new here!

We have a lot of people here who went the DIY route with their apnea therapy. Unless you run into some off the all stuff there is no reason to get the doctor involved unless you just want to. The ResMed SD card will work just fine with any card reader and the OSCAR software. Might as well start ton...

Re: Hello, new here!

Welcome to the forum. Go here and download and read the clinical/provider manual. It has more details in it than the user manual. https://www.respshop.com/manuals/ResMed-AirSense-10-for%20her.pdf Does the machine have a SD card in it? If not you can go to Walmart or similar store and get any generi...
