Re: Not satisfied with ResMed Air Mini

Cpap.com absolutely will not allow a refund on a Cpap machine that has been opened and used. Not with the current policy anyway. They have zero trial period. Most online retailers offer a 15 day or 30 day trial. If you purchase a cpap machine from cpap.com and don’t like it after using it at all it’...

Re: Not satisfied with ResMed Air Mini

Excellent post. Thanks. Yes, the burden is absolutely on me to provide the FAA with compliance data. They can’t take my commercial pilots license, but they can deny my 1st class medical certificate without the data. Without a 1st class medical I’m legally prohibited from exercising my privileges. Fo...

Re: Not satisfied with ResMed Air Mini

Ha, I prefer a less expensive and easier option. All I want is a simple printout of my data. Surly this isn’t that complicated!

I’ve learned a ton with this new machine. Most importantly were not to purchase. I recommend using one of the many online retailers who offer a return policy.

Re: Not satisfied with ResMed Air Mini

Here’s a follow up. It looks like I’ve solved half my problems. In talking with a lady at the cpap site we figured out that the machine was sent with an improper setting in the clinical section. The setting has to do with EPR be on during ramp up or continuous. This alone solved the majority of my n...

Re: Not satisfied with ResMed Air Mini

I feel that that I can do without humidification but I haven’t tried it enough to know for sure. I’ve thought about the end plate mod. Definitely an option if I can’t get past my problems with this mini mess.

Re: Not satisfied with ResMed Air Mini

A muffler is something I considered but I didn’t think about a collapsable hose. It’s certainly worth trying. Thank you! I expected the smaller machine to be a bit louder but had no idea the mask itself would be louder. I don’t even understand why this is the case honestly. Guessing is has something...

Not satisfied with ResMed Air Mini

I desperately need a travel machine for my job. Also have to be able to submit compliance records to the Fed’s to keep my medical certificate. I thought the Air Mini would do the trick but unfortunately it’s been a terrible experience. First of all it’s incredibly loud. Not the machine, it’s the air...

Re: AirSense 10 cleaning question

Many of us still consider cleaning obsession as a mental disorder. There is reasonably clean--and then there is OCD. Obsessives annoy almost everybody. ---To the point that it is fun to annoy them back, even when we realize it is unkind. I like to remind those people that our eyelashes are inhabite...

Re: AirSense 10 cleaning question

Wrong. The area behind the chamber has two plastic ports. The one towards the back of the unit contains moisture from the chamber. It is dark regardless of your light switch. It needs to be cleaned if you care about cleanliness at all. The seals on the plastic tubes (also behind the chamber) are in...

Re: AirSense 10 cleaning question

So why do you think it's reasonable to think that area needs to be cleaned? Because it’s a dark and damp area that houses the water chamber. No, it's *not* dark and damp... it's damp *inside the humidifier chamber*. It's only 'dark' when the lights are off, because it's translucent plastic. Wrong. ...

Re: AirSense 10 cleaning question

I'm glad someone asked this question. So there's a section of the machine that carries the humidified air from the chamber to the hose. Does that section of the machine not get wet and gross and in need of cleaning? Yep, the humid air passes through an elbow shaped internal plastic port that connec...

Re: AirSense 10 cleaning question

It’s not much I know. The dampness comes after a cleaning, wet fingers, spillage, etc.. Unless I let the water chamber dry for an extended time there usually seems to be at least a slight amount of moisture hiding about. I’ll use the wipes. Sounds like that should be sufficient.

AirSense 10 cleaning question

It’s been almost a year since I started using my CPAP equipment. At this time I consider myself a professional cleaning expert, especially on the P10 mask and hose! My concern however is in regards to the AirSense 10 AUTOSET machine itself. It’s easy to clean the the water chamber, but how do you cl...
