Re: ?Problems with DC12V adapter for Aircurve 10
Just to leave information for others who come across this problem. Doing tests, I confirmed it was what I thought it was - when the aircurve10 demands more power it can exceed what the adapter can deliver. For me, I sit between 10-14 pressure most of the time. I use the humidifier but not the heated...

Re: New to BiPAP/Needing some assistance
I also second Pugsy saying slow down what you are changing. I also did not do well on a cpap at all. Like you, a bipap was better but not good yet. My respiratory was off way more than yours was. I noticed that my TI Max was at the limit all the time so I upped it and all the other respiratory numbe...

Re: AHI and mouth breathing with nasal mask
It sounds like your Dr just made a mistake. No followup should be needed. Insist on a full face mask. All major mask companies allow a return within 30 days for no charge, so you can swap out for a different mask. Some DMEs won't but they are contracted to do so (they just don't want to spend the tr...

Re: Air blowing out my mouth
Something must have changed. You might have a sleep position that is creating this (I do). You can use the somnopose app to tell you what positions you are sleeping in when the air pressure goes up high could help determine what is going on (note, it may be a head position, not just a chest position...

Re: Bi-level: Aircurve 10 Vauto vs Dreamstation Auto Bipap
OTOH, I felt like I was fighting the machine. My sleep was much worse than it was the S9. Took the DS back after a week and for the Aircurve Vauto. Back to happiness. That is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for. It would be helpful to know if you had the same settings on both machines or tr...

Re: ?Problems with DC12V adapter for Aircurve 10
I saw some posts (elsewhere I think) about making sure the wire was straighter and did that Whoever said that doesn't know anything about electricity. Actually wiggling a wire and it working (especially in some positions and not others) means there is a bad connection somewhere (wiring not connecte...

Re: ?Problems with DC12V adapter for Aircurve 10
Norma, how big are the 6V batteries in Amp Hours? One concern of connecting two 6V batteries in series is that they both have to be at about the same state of charge or one will limit the other. The humidifier draws the lion's share of energy in any xPAP I've seen. So your observation is interestin...

I am looking for specifics.

Thanks,
I was hoping for some answers like...
I used model X and I had these problems, I switched to the other model and it worked fine.

Re: ?Problems with DC12V adapter for Aircurve 10
Ok, I might have a clue.... After I wrote the response last night (funny how having to write things down seems to make things more clear)... I thought maybe I was getting a surge for power from the humidifier. I turned the humidifier off and didn't have any problems last night. Because it happens so...

Re: ?Problems with DC12V adapter for Aircurve 10
As an experiment I suggest using the battery clips. That probably means having a charged battery handy, but I still think the device is experiencing power insufficiency. I agree this is a good test, but a PIA. We have 2 6v batteries (connected in series to create 12v). Ok, simplest way would be to ...

Re: ?Problems with DC12V adapter for Aircurve 10
I use it plugged into the 12V outlet that looks like a lighter receptacle on a GoalZero Yeti 400 power unit. I use it every night so that a power outage doesn't disturb me. My Ipap 95% is around 15. I use a heated hose and humidifier on auto. No problems at all for 8 months. I was wrong claiming ov...

Re: ?Problems with DC12V adapter for Aircurve 10
.... I use the linked to power supply directly coming off of a 123V source and it has been perfect for over a year now. Dale Dale – do you use it in a DC12v outlet (RV? Car?) or directly on a battery. Have you used it for a week or two straight? What is your ipap most of the night and is your humif...
