Re: Using HumidX on any machine
Better late than never on my results... The humidx is NOT the solution for me. It does not provide enough humidification for me and I ended up with the same results I would have without a humidifier. Very dry nose and frequent sneezing was the result. It was worth a try however. When I am off grid, ...

Re: Using HumidX on any machine
I find that pre moistening the humidx definitely helps. Ahh, never tried pre-moistening, how is that done? Must be the reason why my second night’s (and succeeding nights) use of a new HumidX disk is usually better than the first. I just use bottled drinking water to pre-moisten it. You can either ...

Re: Using HumidX on any machine
I thought I’d share my experience on adapting a ResMed AirMini P10 Mask with the integral HumidX HME for use on ANY CPAP machine. I have a Transcend 2 Travel CPAP and have used this adapter successfully recently. This should work with any of the AirMini masks currently available. The adapter I used...

Great info on this forum. Once again I am having trouble attaching my jpegs again. This time they are...

Re: Using HumidX on any machine
Good day all, I only log in on occasion as I can get answers and information by not having to log in. I have been around though I have not checked out this thread since the vet tape suggestion. I ultimately gave this a go and bought all the necessary items and it worked like a charm. I was able to s...

So people don't have to scroll back a bit, I have attached it to a more current reply
Now, any suggestions on tape I should use to seal it up?

Re: Using HumidX on any machine
Thanks pugsly. Perhaps I cannot add attachments at this juncture. When I try to attach a picture stored locally on my pc, the status is just a triangular, yellow exclamation point. I don't like posting pictures and such to public web servers (seems to be the only other option if attachments are not...

Re: Using HumidX on any machine
I plucked down the money for AirMini tubing and the universal mask adapter I was referring to earlier will fit over the end that plugs into the Air Mini. I can wrap some tape around it and cover the 2 slots on the side to prevent any leaks at that particular point. Next would be to purchase the rema...

Re: Using HumidX on any machine
Thanks. I think I'll just pluck down the money and buy the AirMini hose and see how I can modify it to work with other machines. If I am successful with a modification, I can buy the rest of the items needed to use the HumidX with my Dreamstation Go. I will also share it here for anyone interested. ...

Re: Using HumidX on any machine
Thanks for the reply Pugsy. The passive / passover solution does not work for me as I still end up with a severely dry nasal passage and then I end up with allergy type responses for days to follow. The sneezing becomes unbearable rather quickly. My past solution was to use my external humidifier fo...

Using HumidX on any machine
Good day all. Finally decided to sign up here as I have found your forum helpful in the past and have viewed some topics without being a member. Thank you. I have been a CPAP user since 1999 and last year i finally decided to upgrade my really old Respironics Remstar LX with near 60,000 hours of use...
