Water chamber
Hey guys so I’m based in uk, been using cpap for about 6 years with good results, average ahi is around 0.5-1… recently was given a dream station to replace my old system one machine due to the recall, All is fine, then at my last appointment I queried a water chamber for it and was given one, no in...

Re: Hey guys
Hi Juggsy75 , I looked up your previous posts on this forum, and it seems the PR System 1 you were given came from the sleep medicine department in one of the UK's National Health Service hospitals. And now 'they' have given you a replacement. Is this the same 'they''? Or have you been buying your ...

Hey guys
So I’m in uk and up until last week was using a Philips system one, getting good results, my 30 day average would go between 0.8 and 1.2….. however it developed a fault, and I insisted it be changed due to the issues with the foam, They’ve given me a dream station one. When I questioned it they said...

Re: Cpap machine
So I’m in the uk, my machine is loaned to me by the hospital, but it’s an old Philips system one machine, I’m thinking of buying my own machine, looking at the air sense 10, with heated tube, would this give me more control over my ahi score….. currently my Philips is set to a constant 7 what is yo...

Re: Cpap machine
Hopefully, the System One has had its foam replaced . . . If you can afford to self-pay, go for it, but specify Airsense 10 AUTOSET or AUTOSET FOR HER. The Elite and "CPAP" models are limited to single pressure. The "free" loaners seem to be intended for those who have no choice. It hasn’t, the rep...

Re: A new finding
Thank you, luckily she’s had both jabs so only really felt like she had a heavy cold, although she’s still a little tired and her taste isn’t fully back she’s now fine.
I always liked big puffy bed pillows but now I’m sleeping on what look like pancakes, but seems to be doing the trick

A new finding
So I’ve put some weight on and my ahi bobs from 1 to 3, two week ago my wife tested positive for covid, so with her in quarantine in the bedroom, I had to sleep on sofa, now using the cushions on sofa my ahi was never above one…… after I was allowed back in bedroom and bed pillows it was back to 1.5...

So I’m using a system one machine, but live in the uk, is it worth checking with the hospital who supplies my machine I wonder

Re: Amara View - Magnetic Clips?
Old post I know, but I use the Amhara view headgear and was having terrible trouble with large leaks with the magnets, somewhere around 20% of night, since changing back to the old headgear with the clips my large leaks are now zero again every night...

Re: just cannot get it right uk
It's very possible the bulk of the centrals are just a by product of the increase in the OAs and hyponeas. The OAs/hyponeas cause crappy sleep with lots of arousals and the centrals are from arousal breathing false positives...it's entirely possible. No way to know for sure though until you reduce ...

Re: just cannot get it right uk
Just a note, these are by far my worst nights, most are around the 3-4 ahi, I do notice less central’s on lower ahi noghts

Re: just cannot get it right uk
But is there a reason why I’m all of a seen experiencing more central’s than last 5 years?....... I’ve always been told by hospital I have obstructive not central sleep apnea....... every time I ring them they say don’t get hung up on numbers as the machines aren’t accurate at seeing everything, but...

Re: just cannot get it right uk
Hi Juggsy75, Look on the bottom of the machine for the word 'REF' and tell us the number next to it. If it says '461' then you have a fixed pressure machine, made in West Germany. That means it can't go to auto – I say that although a number of 460s and 461s were made which could vary the pressure ...
