Re: How to get a compliance letter when you don’t have a sleep doc??
I've never had a 'sleep doc'. My PCP has done everything I needed including compliance verification for Medicare/Insurance. I would presume your PCP could do the compliance letter for the CDL(?)

Re: CPAP compliance - please help
I did a bit of Googling....... some snippets and/or quotes from a few different websites. Talk to your doctor before making any changes to meds. - Vyvanse may cause insomnia and could worsen sleep apnea. - "In fact, up to one-third of patients with ADHD may actually have sleep apnea and be misdiagno...

Re: Argh! The "Joys" of a New Machine
Try backing down the humidity setting to see how low you can go and still feel its benefits. My AS10 is set to 3 and I've been OK with that and still have water in the tank in the morning.

Re: Sunset filters for Airsense 11
Sunset brand as I noted in my post. By any chance are you rinsing out the water tank and drying it with a paper towel or a cloth, either of which might leave something that appears fibrous?

Re: Sunset filters for Airsense 11
My DME is supplying Sunset filters for my AS10. I'm guessing the AS11 Sunset filters are similar. They have a shiny smooth side and a side which the fibers are exposed. When I place the filter into the AS10 I place it with the shiny smooth side towards the machine. The fiber side is facing out. I've...

Re: Good in-line pressure meter for the AirSense 10?
Excellent work. Did you vary the CPAP pressure and found the meter reasonably accurate? It's unclear as to why this could not be placed in line. Yes, I did different pressure settings and the manometer matched what the CPAP was set to. The manometer probably could be placed in line with a proper ad...

Re: Good in-line pressure meter for the AirSense 10?
Wow! Excellent unit and picture! Was this an end cap measurement or in line? Could you use the CPAP while the meter was in place? How did you fabricate the fittings to eliminate air loss? It's an 'end cap' static measurement. I don't how you could do an inline measurement as the pressure would be a...

I bought this one a few years ago....

I had to fabricate some simple adapters to fit the hose. It works well.

Re: Air 11 heated tube lifespan
At the end of the hose near where the mask connects there is a 'thermistor' (temperature sensitive resistor) or similar component that monitors the temperature to prevent hose condensation. On a AS10 Climateline hose (three pin connection) at room temperature the resistance of the sensor is approxim...

Re: Where is the AirSense 12?
If Resmed were to release a new model every 5 years I can only speculate it likely may drive the cost of the machine upwards due to engineering, design, tooling, and regulatory approval costs incurred more frequently to put a new model out. One way to offset costs related to production of frequent n...

Re: Respironics 12mm tubing discontinued
The 12mm hose I used for my DS2 was about the best hose I ever used and I now have a Resmed AS10 and wish they made a similar super flexible hose. What I did for the Resmed hose was add a section of flexible hose to the end that attaches to the mask which helps a lot. If truly discontinued I would g...

Re: AirSense 10 not connecting
It may not help where you presently use the AS10, but try placing the unit by a window and see if it can show a received signal there. On my cell phone the signal is weak inside the house, but if I try it near a window I can generally get a few more bars to show. One of the numbers on your AS10 indi...
