Re: Whistling FF Mask Wakes Me Up - Mask Rainout
FWIW and if it helps anyone else I ohm'ed out the connections on two hoses and they were comparable, so likely not an issue with the hose. The sensor in the hose appears inversely temperature sensitive (temp goes up, resistance decreases. temp goes down, resistance increases). Measurement shown is a...

Re: Whistling FF Mask Wakes Me Up - Mask Rainout
Heated hose as noted set at 82-84 deg. No hose cover. No gurgling in the hose as 'rainout', so the hose seems to be doing what it should and does feel slightly warm to the touch. The condensation is occurring in the mask. I've kinda wondered if the humidifier heat is not being regulated by the dial ...

Whistling FF Mask Wakes Me Up - Mask Rainout
I use a F&P Vitera FF mask with my Resmed AirSense 10 Auto. I've finally got the mask adjusted that leaks are at a minimum, but it seems in doing so any excess moisture in the mask is trying to escape through the vent holes in the frame and when it does it creates a sound like a tiny whistling teapo...

Re: AirSense 10 Autoset
I took delivery of a Resmed AirSense 10 Auto from my DME this past week. Manufacture date was 2024 and came with '0' hours. When I had called the DME to check availability of the AS10 they said they had a good number of them in stock as well as the newer AS11's.

Re: PulseOx shopping
Can your current oximeter use rechargable batteries? The voltage is slightly lower than regular alkaline types, but if they could work it would definitely save some money. I couldn't find a downloadable manual for the CMS 50-BT Charger and 8 AAA batteries.... https://www.amazon.com/EBL-Rechargeable-...

Re: 5 Year Replacement & Medicare/Insurance
Any new machines I have seen always have ZERO run hours. For sure I am going to check the run hours when the RT sets it up for the demo and instructional session. I already have an AS10 (bought it here a few years ago) so am familiar with getting into the menus. I did find some comments in a Reddit...

Re: 5 Year Replacement & Medicare/Insurance
Just got off the phone with the DME confirming the order of the replacement CPAP. Yes, there is a 13 month 'rental' on the replacement, but unlike the initial CPAP I had, there is no usage compliance requirement. Monday the RT from the DME comes to the house to deliver and go over the new machine, a...

5 Year Replacement & Medicare/Insurance
My initial CPAP that was provided by my DME and paid for by Medicare and supplemental insurance was on a 13 month rental after which time I owned it. My 5 year replacement CPAP is currently in process by my DME. Will this replacement also be subject to a 13 month rental period like the first one or ...

Re: How to dry the hose
My method every few months.... Fill hose with warm water and a few drops of Dawn dish liquid. Slosh back and forth. Empty the hose of the sudsy water. Run cool tap water through an end of hose. Take hose outside and twirl out remaining water as Dog Slobber suggested. Hang outside in fresh air and su...

Re: DreamStation2 modem
I assume you've tried unplugging the DS2 and then plugging it back in after a few minutes as suggested in the users manual(?)
Have you tried to contact the 'Care Provider'? This is what Google came up with.....

DS1 to DS2 - Medicare 5 Yr Replacement Time Frame
I got my original DreamStation 1 in 03/2020. The recall replaced the DS1 with a DreamStation 2 in 10/2021. My DME recently sent me an email to start the 5 year replacement process which I assume would be for 03/2026 (I'll be ignoring the email until the actual replacement date nears). If I still had...

Re: Anyone use PAPMD cpap filters?
MyIdaho.. To enter/access the 'Clinician' menu and settings are you using the button presses shown in the image below? Doing this should display two gears and 'Settings' '>'. From there you should be able to see the menu items such as Options/'Essentials where you could change Essentials to 'Plus' w...

Re: Anyone use PAPMD cpap filters?
I was curious about the 'Essentials' menu selection and also if my own AS10 Auto had a setting for a filter. Evidently the 'Essentials' selection appears only to affect the 'Patient' menu options and not the 'Clinician' menu items. The 'ON' setting of 'Essential' gives the patient basic settings, wh...

Re: Anyone use PAPMD cpap filters?
Not sure if enabling the "Essentials" to 'Plus' in the "Options" menu will get you into the "Accessories" menu, but worth a try.

Re: Anyone use PAPMD cpap filters?
Having the filter attached to the mask may be a bit annoying. Possibly having a length of tube between the mask and the filter might help. I don't have a filter, but do use a Sleepweaver Featherwieght tube as an extension to a Resmed Climateline tube which is very flexible compared to the Resmed tub...
