Re: Good in-line pressure meter for the AirSense 10?
Wow! Excellent unit and picture! Was this an end cap measurement or in line? Could you use the CPAP while the meter was in place? How did you fabricate the fittings to eliminate air loss? It's an 'end cap' static measurement. I don't how you could do an inline measurement as the pressure would be a...

I bought this one a few years ago....

I had to fabricate some simple adapters to fit the hose. It works well.

Re: Air 11 heated tube lifespan
At the end of the hose near where the mask connects there is a 'thermistor' (temperature sensitive resistor) or similar component that monitors the temperature to prevent hose condensation. On a AS10 Climateline hose (three pin connection) at room temperature the resistance of the sensor is approxim...

Re: Where is the AirSense 12?
If Resmed were to release a new model every 5 years I can only speculate it likely may drive the cost of the machine upwards due to engineering, design, tooling, and regulatory approval costs incurred more frequently to put a new model out. One way to offset costs related to production of frequent n...

Re: Respironics 12mm tubing discontinued
The 12mm hose I used for my DS2 was about the best hose I ever used and I now have a Resmed AS10 and wish they made a similar super flexible hose. What I did for the Resmed hose was add a section of flexible hose to the end that attaches to the mask which helps a lot. If truly discontinued I would g...

Re: AirSense 10 not connecting
It may not help where you presently use the AS10, but try placing the unit by a window and see if it can show a received signal there. On my cell phone the signal is weak inside the house, but if I try it near a window I can generally get a few more bars to show. One of the numbers on your AS10 indi...

Re: How to test a Climateline heated hose
The S10 Climate Line hoses have 3 pins at the electrical connector, and the newer S11 hoses have 4 pins. I'd like to know how many users even own a DVM, much less how to use it. That said, on A11 the outer 2 pins are the thermistor contacts, inner 2 the heater (they now have separate grounds). I th...

Re: How to test a Climateline heated hose
The definitive manual for troubleshooting ResMed Climateline tubing and similar devices is covered extensively in Electrical Testing And Maintenance Handbook, Vol. 11, AKA "The Electrician's Bible". Referring to Chapter 5, page 86, it is noted that evaluation of heated tubing can be classified into...

Re: 12mm micro-flexible Dreamstation 2 tubing?
I should have mentioned that on the Resmed hose I have an extension on it which makes the end more flexible and closer to the 12mm hose. It doesn't appear to be available presently on Amazon (was about $10US), but possibly might be found on a CPAP supply retailer. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GKBX88...

Re: 12mm micro-flexible Dreamstation 2 tubing?
I used a DS2 for about 4 years using the 12mm heated tubing. It was extremely flexible and I hardly knew it was attached to the face mask. They held up really well and the hoses lasted for a long time. I do use a hanger that keeps the hose overhead which I think helps keep the hose from being rolled...

Re: BRAND NEW AIRSENSE 10
For those that may be relatively new to this board, LSAT has been selling CPAP/APAP machines here for a while. I bought an AS10 several years ago from him and I was very satisfied with the machine I bought and the transaction. Don't hesitate to message him if you might have any questions.
