Re: Started Having Apnea Events While Dosing Off While on CPAP
Caffeine intake hasn’t had an effect. Found no correlation. Not on any medications. I find it happens much more frequently on days I have higher anxiety. But that’s about it. Most of the time no rhyme or reason. Dr says some transitional apneas are Normal but my O2 drops so much during them it wakes...

Re: Started Having Apnea Events While Dosing Off While on CPAP
If you ever find a reason - feel like to let me know! Mine is continuing on and off still. No real rhyme or reason. Had a sleep test for an ASV machine. But it didn’t end up happening that night - so I dunno if that’s good or bad. Will be a few more months until I hear the true results.

Re: Started Having Apnea Events While Dosing Off While on CPAP
SaminLasVegas Sorry to hear about your issues. I have the same problem. Sometimes acts up more in periods of anxiety. Oscar and Dr said mine are sleep onset central’s. Guess most people sleep through them. They come and go. Been two years now. Usually in clusters. No rhyme or reason. Hopefully yours...

This sounds like a dumb question as I type it - but is that an ASV machine?

Sleep Onset Issues
Hey guys - I know many people here have had sleep onset issues - and was told there is nothing to worry about. But do most people's O2 drop like this? This was an unusually hard night - I don't mean to double post stuff but I am really struggling with this. Does anyone else have more solutions / tip...

Parasomniac - any change or solution to your sleep onset centrals? It’s what I have and I am losing my mind over here. Would love to hear an update. Hopefully you found a solution!

Thumper - Mine is like that every night too. No idea why. Am very interested to hear peoples opinions on things like that. Great measured calm response to that question too of why. Hoping to see some responses!

Re: Tidal Volume
Thanks for the replies! Man, the board is great. I’m a larger build. Played college football. 6 feet 245lbs currently. Working on losing more. Played at 285. So from what you said it makes sense my numbers would be higher. Doesn’t explain the erratic up and downs though. I will mention it to my doct...

Re: Tidal Volume
Most of the graphs I see are high until they get settled like you mentioned. My wife says I don't move much, mostly stay on my side. But it doesn't matter if its a good or bad night - my tidal volume has been erratic. And even on a good night - I have over 50% variable breathing. Every night since s...

Tidal Volume
I know people have said on here before Tidal Volume doesn't really matter (why would they track it tho?) But whenever I see charts on this forum they never look like mine. It always is hectic and up and down. Does anyone else has tidal volume that looks like this? screenshot-20210226-121851.png

Re: Anyone using a sleep oximeter?
Hey Mush Creek - I use this one and it has worked well for the last year. Wellue SleepU Wrist pulse oximeter. If you are using this - I suggest using it with the OSCAR software as well because it is much more detailed and helpful on adjust your CPAP right. https://getwellue.com/pages/sleepu-oxygen-m...

What you just described as you are drifting off to sleep - that’s my whole problem. Coming up on a year now.
Comes and goes. No idea why. Comes with chest discomfort as well.
Interested if you find anything out about this.

Re: O2 drop with CPAP
Hey Fern. I’ve seen a few top sleep specialists and all don’t know why it happens on the sleep onset. But they did reassure me that people live for substantial amount of time with low oxygen levels (80s) - say in high altitudes, hikes, and traveling on airplanes. And that I shouldn’t worry about dip...
