Subcutaneous Emphysema
Anyone hear of Subcutaneous Emphysema being caused by CPAP? I am getting evaluated for Subcutaneous Emphysema. Other caused could be stomach acid reflux or fracture during upper GI procedure.

Air swallowing
I used cpap successfully for 9 months but stopped using in January. I’m looking to get back, however whenever I use now I end up air swallowing a huge amount. I used to use a pressure setting of 9. My pulmonologist changed the pressure to 7 but I’m still having major issues with air swallowing into ...

paradoxical breathing
I’ve read sleep apnea and or CPAP can cause this. Does it eventually correct itself or require medical assistance?

Happened 2 or 3 times. While I was asleep and in the waking process.

Extreme upward pressure in head during sudden waking
Anyone else experience this? Seems more intense the deeper sleep I wake from.

Re: Ringing ear and dizziness
They used a machine to spray water in my ear to remove the wax. The process didn’t cause my symptoms though. I had them for several days which was why I went to the urgent care and they removed the wax after ear check. My symptoms very closely match Meniere's. Every day this week has been up and dow...

Re: Ringing ear and dizziness
I am not futzing around. In the past 3 days I have been to the ER, to an Urgent Care, and teleconferences a pulmonologist. I’m researching neurologists and am taking off tomorrow to arrange appointment. Not futzing around. That said, I do have a theory (just a guess, as I mentioned I am consulting w...

Re: Ringing ear and dizziness
I don’t know what I have. Meniere's is very possible. I know my symptoms surfaced when I used the machine and that it seemed to get worse when pressure increased. Could be coincidence or maybe not. That’s what I asked if others had similar experience, because I don’t know.

Re: Ringing ear and dizziness
I appreciate all the responses. I’m still dealing with dizziness. Last night I almost fell walking up stairs. I’ve been to ER and Urgent Care, but they’re not capable of diagnosing. I do think Meniere's could be it. But I assume Meniere's would have bouts, go away for at least a day. This is all wee...

Re: Ringing ear and dizziness
Like I said, I have seen a doctor. But the call was rushed, she read my history and told me to change pressure and ended the call. I tried doing what she said but when I used the machine briefly the symptoms got worse. My doctor is working at hospital full time and can’t see me until my appointment ...

Re: Ringing ear and dizziness
Pressure not high only at 8. I doubt most people have experience like this. I’m just hoping someone has. When I sleep without machine i have apnea which makes things worse but machine causing problems and has made worse after use. Doctors aren’t very helpful because they’re dealing with COVID and no...

Re: Ringing ear and dizziness
It is definitely related to cpap and or sleep apnea. Not just the ringing, but the dizziness. Tonight I reattempted machine use (as dr had suggested) but only for a short period. I don’t even think I actually reached sleep but got up and air bloating had returned, more ringing and tingling in head. ...

Re: Ringing ear and dizziness
Thank you for responses so far. Sorry for not posting my info, I was mostly interested if others had experienced, or if this was due to pressure if days to decompress seems long. I was diagnosed over a year ago. I enjoyed positive CPAP therapy for 8 months. I use ResMed AirSense devise. Pressure is ...
