Re: Old S9 CPAP...

It never ceases to amuse me when people come in asking for advice, then get their panties all bunched up when the advice isn't what they want to hear. Why even ask? Do whatever you want with it, but don't come back here whining should your machine die on you. ta ta! I did ask for what to do with th...

Re: Old S9 CPAP...

Thanks for the replies, but...

I see no reason to store the S9 for just in case; your health condition may dictates to you to have one, but mine does not.

I respect your choice and you should respect mine, instead of throwing spear tires in my way and/or sending Murphy over for a visit.

Re: Face mask experience

Thank you very much everyone for your help, much appreciated... It's better late, than never, but some background about my CPAP experience... This is not my first rodeo, as the saying goes; started out with the S9 with nasal mask, about ten years ego. That has worked for me most of the times, withou...

Re: Old S9 CPAP...

I can keep it for spare, but the chances are that it won't be used again. The AS 10 is a better CPAP machine in number of different ways.

I'll ask my sleep center, if they'd want it...

Old S9 CPAP...

My S9 had been replaced by AirSense 10 and my supplier did not want the old S9. Prior to throwing it out, just curious...

What are people doing with their old CPAP machines?

TIA...

Re: Face mask experience

If your lower jaw tends to drop, a nasal mask is probably not for you, because you'd be prone to leaks out of your mouth. I'd be surprised if the Mirage Activa wouldn't work with your current hose; you might want to double-check that. If the reading/TV issue was the only other one with a mask that ...

Re: Face mask experience

Ideally, additional stuff should not be needed--but it depends on the individual. The masks are designed to fit three different faces--three sizes--not thousands. You get what's closest--and customize until it works. Principally, I don't disagree with you, but... Both the ResMed and Phillips "full ...

Re: Face mask experience

Prosleep, what mask were you using with your old machine? I might have missed that, but I didn't see it. You didn't miss it, wasn't listed since I didn't know and had to look it up... It was the ResMed Mirage Activa™ LT Nasal CPAP Mask, large. I liked this nasal mask, except that it blocked my visi...

Re: Face mask experience

Thanks Guys... Am I to understand that the these face masks are useless on their own and additional equipment needed? I did look at chin straps and cervical collar, but didn't think they are necessary. With the S9's mask, I didn't have this issue. Is there any other masks, that would work without ad...

Face mask experience

I have recently been switched from the ResMed S9 to the AirSense 10 CPAP machine, with humidifier, heated hose and ResMed AirFit F30i Full Face Mask. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the introduction/fitting has been via FaceTime. After using the new face mask for couple of nights, I had some issues. I ...

Re: STICKY...can't find distilled water? What can I do?

I haven't had a problem getting distilled water in the store, but reading this thread in preparation, if it disappears from the shelves. Couple of questions... If you wash the water tank on the daily basis, that should prevent buildup, no? Does filtered tap water help preventing buildup? Probably no...
