Re: Eye irritation
Hi, I was about to post a new topic when I saw this recent discussion. I too have been experiencing eye issues: burning, stinging, watering, red in the corner of the eyes and a feeling of eye fatigue. It's weird as I have been on cpap therapy since September 2019 and just started to have problems l...

Re: New Guy here and struggling with this CPAP/ASV thing
Concentrate mainly on simply doing what you need to do to fall asleep and stay asleep and don't beat yourself up too much if you hit a bump in the road. Heck...just wearing a mask and sleeping can be a challenge. Agree on that! One of the big things I have trouble with since using the ASV machine i...

Re: New Guy here and struggling with this CPAP/ASV thing
I think I got it now, very clear what to do from that description. I used to work as a heavy equipment mechanic. We did regular oil sampling on our equipment one could get all excited at what showed up in a single sample if you did not understand what it was from or how it was being used. I'm attach...

Re: New Guy here and struggling with this CPAP/ASV thing
You've got some large leak issues happening. See all the gray blocks and the LL line on the events graph? That's large leak so your mask is leaking quite a bit. Whether or not it's impacting your actual therapy or not is debatable but it could. Pugsy, Thanks for the reply. I have been trying to get...

Re: New Guy here and struggling with this CPAP/ASV thing
I was going to post a screenshot of what I'm seeing, but guess I have to use some third party site for that! I'll work on that later. As for the "cpap importer" Yes I at one point clicked on that, it's the top option under "FILE" at the top of the blank page. It appeared to do the import as across ...

Re: New Guy here and struggling with this CPAP/ASV thing
Okay no idea why there was a change but now it looks like the profile is sticking and if I exit and re-enter Oscar I have a page that Shows my profile name, ventilator brand and ventilator model, under Last imported it says 5/28/2020 7:21PM and the in last column my name. But I have no idea what to...

Re: New Guy here and struggling with this CPAP/ASV thing
Can anyone point me to someplace that will give me step by step instructions on Oscar? I have used many different programs, not for CPAP, since the days of Windows 3.1 and this one is giving me major fits just getting to the first step of using it. I have downloaded it and believe it is installed an...

Re: New Guy here and struggling with this CPAP/ASV thing
as someone once told me, old age is not for sissies! i just went back through and i'm sorry if i missed it; how long have you been on cpap therapy? it takes each of us a slightly different time to see those benefits. it can take up to three months, by some reports. it's also a gradual improve...

Re: New Guy here and struggling with this CPAP/ASV thing
Well a little update on my struggles. I seem to be adjusting a bit to the machine and have been using Mucinex that seems to help some with the plugging of the nose that was in some part the cause of the pressure surges I was feeling. I still need to work on getting a reader that will let me access t...

Re: New Guy here and struggling with this CPAP/ASV thing
Add your machine model to the comments section since it isn't available in the drop down menu. To have the wrong model listed, like you have now, will just cause confusion. The Simplus mask is indeed offered as a choice. Just scroll down the list to the "S" section and you will see it. Added some i...

Re: New Guy here and struggling with this CPAP/ASV thing
Do you have a laptop or desktop? If so, download the Oscar software (more information in that Newbies thread palerider mentions). Import your data from the SD card in your machine. (If there isn't one, get one.) Then take a screenshot of a recent daily page so we can see what's going on. Well I do ...

Re: New Guy here and struggling with this CPAP/ASV thing
Could you put your exact machine make/model in your profile, along with your mask information? That will be a big help, because then the information will be right there for anyone who reads your posts. Do you have a laptop or desktop? If so, download the Oscar software (more information in that New...
