Good sleep blamed for injury...

For over a month my left little finger, half the ring finger and bottom edge of my hand have been completely numb from a compressed nerve. It's usually caused by injury to the elbow, but I haven't banged the elbow nor is it engaged in repetitive motion. The doc believes it happened during long sleep...

Oops, guested, yes that was me. Hopefully the panty hose reluctant guys won't notice the gynecology reference. It's wire. It's a very manly thing to use.

I woke at 3am and got stuck thinking about the Aura trying to determine if there were any factors rather than sheer random luck that it works so well for me. Like Wader, I sleep on my side and switch sides through the night. I also just slap the mask on each time with no adjustments, just breathing ...

I was lucky in that Aura worked near perfectly for me out of the box. Ozij described "the nasal seal was pulling my nose up too much." When I had some of this in shifting, I took a twisty tie from a bread bag and used it to pull the two tubes more closely together. It worked perfectly to stabilize a...

You are certainly right, I am definitely a member of the Aura fan club! I can't imagine a better mask for me, unless it comes out in a self cleaning version- or house cleaning version for that matter. No, don't use any pantyhose, sweatbands, ropes or chains for stabilization. The only thing I did wa...

My apap typically runs from 12-15 through the night, with occasional few minutes at 16 and 17. I've never had any leak problems with my out of the box non deconstructed aura.

Lori I just returned from NYC having been away since you posted on your first Aura night. So glad to hear (and not surprised) that subsequent nights have been great for you! Hooray!

Rock and Roll: Sure hope you have equally great success!

I appreciate your caution as you don't want to be disappointed. I have enough optimism to carry you too. Power of positive belief etc. As Gandhi said "become the mask you want to wear" ...or was it "become the change you want to see"?? something like that. Sweet dreams.

Lori you have every reason to be optimistic for permanent membership. Unless your nares and head changed shape and size since last night (I'm thinking not likely...), there is no reason why it won't be another great night.

Lori I second Waders comments. I had really great numbers with the swift too, although a tad better with aura. The biggest difference for me is comfort. Although I was happy with the swift, I didn't realize how much I woke up in the night with it (air hitting me or bumping the barrel) until I switch...

Lori I had felt a little guilty on a previous thread where I caused you to reconsider trying the Aura (instead of sticking with your twizzles :) now I'm glad that happened. So happy it appears it will work for you as well as it did for me. Here's an early welcome to the ranks of former swift now aur...

Sorry Lori to add to your mask angst. Guess I wanted to have my twizzlers AND goodnplenty too I had never pondered the shape of my nares. But just examined the mirror and the sizing guide, lol, and I have round nares. Aura and Swift both seal well for me, but Aura's pillows are much softer and more ...

I've been a Swift fan, having used it for 8 months without any problems at all. I was also intrigued by the Aura and got it about a month ago. Love it! I did have to tighten all the straps up as far as they go, but no deconstruction required. I find the squishy pillows more comfortable then swift, a...

Prior to OSA diagnosis, I took 2 tylenol pm every night to help with sleep. My GP had said this was perfectly fine and no problems with longterm use. At my first meeting with the sleep doc (director of the hospital's sleep lab), the doc was horrified to learn of it and insisted I switch to Ambien. M...
