Re: Wedge pillow

Can't afford an adjustable bed :( but thanks anyways for trying to help i hope to find a way instead of velcro as i wake up every time i slip down If you sleep on your back, a knee-lift pillow should prevent sliding. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0011/1273/5803/products/AlexO_SLOPED_KNEE_LIFT_2...

What angle wedge pillow are you using?

You can get them in 30°, 24°, 16°, and more.

I use a wedge pillow, the dimensions are approximately 7 inches high, 24 inch base with a 16° incline. I don't slide off.
30 cm high

Re: Wedge pillow

You may have some trouble getting answers here because what most of us see as a minor inconvenience (the pillow issue) is nothing compared to what we've seen previously in patients who have such surgery done to pay for the surgeon's new country house (or trip to Paris, etc). People who have all tha...

Re: Mouth taping?

Espada, thanks for posting the sleep report summary. I can see now that central apnea is not your problem; obstructive apnea is. Your CPAP machine will still do its job if you open your mouth while using a full-face mask, but you've put your finger on your real problem, which is that mouth-breathin...

Re: Mouth taping?

IMG_20200723_221844.jpg If you're using a full-face mask, it is OK if your mouth is opening, from the point of view of your apnea treatment. Is the problem that your mouth feels dry? Does the air going in and out of your mouth cause you to wake up? It'd help to know why opening your mouth seems bad...

Re: Mouth taping?

Not necessarily the same kind of cervical collar as people wear after car accidents. Usually a smaller softer version designed for gentle support. We have several members here who use them and they will be along later and tell you which ones they use. Are they uncomfortable...well to me they would ...

Re: Mouth taping?

There are people with facial hair who do tape their lips shut. Facial hair does put some extra challenges to any mask wearing or what we do to keep things sealed. There are people who do have facial hair and do tape....it can be "interesting" depending on tape placement and the hairs involved. How ...

Re: Low AHI but still no benefits

Sleep maintenance insomnia...google it. The potential list of culprits is miles long. Sleep apnea is but one item on that list. If you wake often or have trouble going back to sleep when you do...sleep maintenance insomnia. It's bad sleep quality...and cpap can only fix bad sleep quality when the b...
