Re: OT: Quarantine supplies

We value humans more than we value other animals. Plants, too.

Which is sad, when you see how little we value many humans.

Re: CPAP use causes major sinus problems

On a more positive note, I've already learned that I need to try a heated hose, and I just tossed some NasoGel in my Amazon cart.

I'll leave the peroxide on the shelf, though. I'm sure the LDS has produced a doctor or two who knows about this cure, yet never mentioned it to others.

Re: OT: Quarantine supplies

I've got a lame pantry. Lots of shelf stable stuff that we regularly use over time and I don't want to be bothered with worrying about when I'm shopping (You feel like making chili? All we need is the meat). I walked one of the kids down there to show him that worst case, we won't starve- he and his...

Re: fisher paykel icon no power

I'm now due for a new CPAP, had to jump through hoops, etc, and now I'm waiting at least a week for everything to get approved (and that's assuming everyone involved isn't staying home because of Coronavirus), then I get to go to the DME that's over an hour away. But once I found I'd be getting a ne...

Re: Camping with the cub scouts? resmed airsense and power tool batteries?

I'm glad for it. Working inefficiently off a marine battery is okay when you're in a pop up camper, but off the shelf (or toolbench) batteries are a much better solution than the medical branded batteries... once you know enough to do them properly.

Re: Camping with the cub scouts? resmed airsense and power tool batteries?

But I can't speak to Resmed's copy protection. Other than patents, which all device manufacturers have, there is no "copy protection" This video mentions that the resmed needs a special connector with a "chip" in it to recognize a power source... Is this adapter available? or am I stuck buyi...

Re: Camping with the cub scouts? resmed airsense and power tool batteries?

I'm not an electrician, but years ago I got a small power inverter that plugged into a car's cigarette lighter. I got a lighter socket from Napa and wired it to a deep cycle battery. Not a good idea for backpacking, but great if you're car camping and going to be in place for a few days. If you coul...

And by asking about it, you're calling attention to yourself.

Don't you want to disable the transmissions because you don't want to sleep with your head next to all that added electromagnetic radiation?

Re: CPAP Basics - 12 - Pain and Sleep

Overall, yes. But I've had sleep apnea since I was a kid, and the pain issues are only since my 30s. So I never credit the pain with hurting sleep.

Re: CPAP Basics - 12 - Pain and Sleep

I've never thought pain hurt my sleep, but rather the other way around. It takes a lot of energy to deal with chronic pain, and sleep apnea keeps that from happening.

Re: fisher paykel icon no power

First post, hello all. Wonderful thread, I feel tons better about my week. Why do CPAPs only fail at the beginning of vacations? Because that's the the first time they've been unplugged for, like, ever. On my last trip it took hours to come up every time we moved. Last week it never came up at all. ...
