Re: Baseline AHI analysis with CPAP (without airflow adjustments)
Having a mask so loose that that you can breathe around it will just cause pressure leaks and the machine will become totally confused because the pressure/flow sensors won't know what's happening. As a result, the reported events may be unreliable. Using basic CPAP at a low pressure is a good attem...

Re: Baseline AHI analysis with CPAP (without airflow adjustments)
Yes I have tried something similar in the past. However, CPAPs are not diagnostic machines so the closest you will get is an approximation. It's not possible to have the machine run without pressure so you will always get some therapy pressures involved to skew the results. The closest you can get i...

Re: New ResMed Aircurve V10 Auto
Thanks for your opinion. Some people are very sensitive to extremely high pressures and, for them, they are willing to make a trade-off on the max pressure even if this means letting a few apneas sneak through. The sentence also said "if" you want tighter control.. and was rapidly followed up by "le...

Re: New ResMed Aircurve V10 Auto
I can't find an edit button here so I'll add another post. I cross-posted with palerider and we were both typing. His settings are similar but would allow the pressures to go even higher than the example I gave. After you've used it for a couple of nights, look at the data in OSCAR and use that info...

Re: New ResMed Aircurve V10 Auto
Your settings on the VAuto have PS set at 3 but in the past it seems you were using PS=4 Are you sure you want to use a ramp? The ramp will start off at 7/4 (because start EPAP is 4 and then add 3 for PS to get the IPAP value) After the ramp it will climb to 11/8 (because min EPAP is 8 and then add ...

I think you got your answer.
Just to confirm, I have recorded 4 nights on a CMS50I and probably could have done more.
(that last letter in the model name is the one between H and J... pronounced "eye"... it often looks like the number one).

Re: I have an old VAuto from Apria Healthcare...how do I disconnect it from them?
Are you saying that the machine is sending data via the modem? If your machine is from the S10 range... you can disconnect the modem from the motherboard and that way it will never send data anywhere. There is a youtube video showing how to do that, it takes 10 minutes max to open the machine, disco...
