This is so cracky -- but I don't care!
I had all kinds of problems with the F30i full face mask -- my mask seal was always around 20 out of 20 on MyAir, but my AHI ranged from 1.5-8 -- it literally bounced all over the place, even with help from people here to try to reduce a ton of issues. Last week I switched to the N30i pillow which I...

Going to N30i from F30i
Friday I got my N30i supplies in the mail (my profile says N30 because I couldn't find the N30i on the list)... Here is an update. I LOVE it. So much more comfortable than the F30i! The F30i not only covers the mouth, but the side parts of the headgear were always uncomfortable and I tend to sleep o...

Re: Going from full face mask to nasal -- advice?
Great post with some good information thank you. I'm primarily a mouth breather because I just don't get enough air in through my nose. I think I might have a deviated septum as my nose is actually kind of crooked! But I've noticed since I started CPAP that I am able to breathe through my nose with ...

Going from full face mask to nasal -- advice?
Hi. I've been using the F30i full face mask because historically I'm a "mouth breather." I do wake up with a little bit of a dry mouth (not bad) and some (excuse the expression) gas. But I really want to try a nasal mask to see if that helps my AHI and is a little more comfortable. I've chose the N3...

Update on central apneas
About a month ago you helped me figure out why my apneas were spiking has high as 10... the central apneas were causing the problem and it wasn't false ones... Good news is that since turning off EPR and reducing the starting pressure to 7.5 things have improved. I range between 1.5 - 4.0. Soon I'll...

Re: I'm Back!
He said he was tested for COVID and it was negative. Still there are many false reports, especially before you are symptomatic. The symptoms do sound like COVID (I'm in Florida, too).

Re: I am having a terrible time of it with OSCAR
Update. 3 days later. First night: turned EPR down to 2. Not a big difference. 4.78 AHI. Second night: turned EPR down to 1. I'll paste that photo as the 2nd shot here -- 4.06 AHI. A little restless, woke up a few times. Awake for about an hour before sleep... about 3 bathroom breaks... Last night: ...

Re: OT: Medicare Advantage Plans
Hey Sheriff, how much does a plan G cost where you live? I'm not sure. I got on Medicare.gov and inserted my prescriptions. It gave me some info, but I was in a hurry, so I couldn't decipher the info. Question: If I purchase Plan D for prescriptions.... does Plan G pay the deductibles for the presc...

Re: OT: Medicare Advantage Plans
To my knowledge Plan G doesn't do anything for Part D plan medication deductibles. It's mainly just going to pay the big part A deductible if you get hospitalized and then the 20% left over after Medicare pays on the Part B stuff once the Part B deductible has been met. I don't think it touches any...

Re: I am having a terrible time of it with OSCAR
A quick update. I didn't run OSCAR this morning (the SD card is in the CPAP) but I did reduce the EPR from 3 to 2. MyAir reported an AHI of 4.7 this morning. I was perfectly comfortable last night while I was awake, didn't notice any discomfort from the EPR. I slept very well (as I usually do), waki...

Re: OT: Medicare Advantage Plans
Hey Sheriff, how much does a plan G cost where you live? I tried to figure it out but apparently it also varies by area and company selling it. OMG I just did a pretend thing on the AARP Texas rate and an area 1 zip code (which is the cheapest) based on my own situation. Plan G would cost me 354 a ...
