It seems the thread has already lost focus but my wife just received a Dreamstation 2 Advanced (auto) replacement for her current Dreamstation Auto. I registered two Dreamstations in August.
The instructions are to return the old dreamstation to Philips Respironics Returns in Mt. Pleasant, PA.

Re: How do I ncrease Dreamstation max pressure to 40?
On a side note, everything that I have read so far indicates that pressures of 14-18cmH2O are what are most useful for Covid-19 patients, What you've read is *NOT* anywhere near 'the whole story'. because while they may be using 14-18 PEEP, they're also using up to 25PS. Not to start a fight with y...

My new Airsense 10 that I got in January did not have an SD card included. It may be an option for the DME to have one included.

Your video is stupid....
All we want to know is what it says BELOW the Airsens 10 on the front of the machine (see attachment).

Based on the improvements, or lack thereof, between the S9 and the Airsense 10, I doubt there is much to gain and very possibly an SD card slot to lose. Airsense 10 is a good machine, no reason to expect that you would ever regret buying one.

Re: How do I ncrease Dreamstation max pressure to 40?
Guys have been haking old CPAP units apart and hooking power directly to the blower motors are claiming that they are able to get pressures of 40cmH2O. I have not seen any of these projects that have used a Dreamstation but I do not doubt that the blower would be able to reach those pressures. We ha...

Re: Converting CPAPs into ventilators
Looking at APAP devices the difference is primarily software. The Resmed Lumis TX is basically the same, or exactly the same, hardware as a Resmed S9 AutoSet with the addition of an alarm module and more modes available in the software. I am not sure how prohibitive the process would be to upgrade s...

Re: Too much minimum pressure?
I believe the sample size to be too small to base any conclusions on, both in terms of there being only 12 data points in total and that there is a single data point at the increased pressure. My AHI can vary from 0-2.5 and occasionally as high as 4.5 without changing my setup. Give it a few more ni...

Re: Camping with the cub scouts? resmed airsense and power tool batteries?
Sooooooo, not to stir up the fight but we need to talk about electricity and how it is measured. There are three common measurements here in the USA and they are Amps, Volts, and Watts. Amps are related to load and Ah to load over a period of time, thus the term Amp Hour or Ah. This is the number ho...

Re: Camping with the cub scouts? resmed airsense and power tool batteries?
Ok, I am not sure where to start. It appears that you are trying to use a Milwaukee battery to USB adaptor to power your Resmed Airsense 10. The Milwaukee battery may be 18v (it actually is ~20v when fully charged) and this may be plenty of voltage for you Airsense 10 but USB is only 5v, the adaptor...

Pathogens, bacteria and viruses, are not going to live long on any dry surface. If the machine has not been used in a week or more then you are good to go.

Re: Complex Sleep Apnea, Young & Concerned
There has been a great deal of discussion here so far and it sounds like you are open to trying to figure out what is going on. "When you say 6 or 7, I'm assuming you mean the max pressure. I don't believe I can change that on my end, I think that has to be done by the company that issued my machine...

I live in the boondocks, one bar of cellular signal is rare and precious. ResMed still gets data from my Airsense 10 Auto.

Re: I have an old VAuto from Apria Healthcare...how do I disconnect it from them?
+1 on the suggestion to just disconnect the modem. I have done this on a Resmed Airsense 10 Auto, it is not hard and no one will know that the machine is being used at all. I did no do this writeup but I have used it: Semi-permanently disabling modem in ResMed Airsense 10 Some reviews of the Airsens...
