Re: My Bleep experience
Hey, Surf_rower, thanks for the sympathy. I’ll look into the TapPap. I’ve never heard of it, but if it’s easy and works I’m interested. Too bad about that blood vessel. Not a lot of fairness in trying to take care of your health only to be on the receiving end of nose graffiti. Hopefully a long and ...

My Bleep experience
Thought I would share my experience with trying Bleep. At first I did not like the pulling on my nose, but now I can ignore it after a few minutes. I know about the hose management tools, but I don't want to add more equipment. I ran into trouble with discomfort, not-quite-bruising on my upper lip. ...

Re: Have you had a COVID-19 Vaccine or have an appt?
I work in healthcare and am scheduled for my second dose on Tuesday. My arm hurt a little on day two and three, otherwise no adverse effects. In addition to myself I've been able to set up vaccinations for two of my family members. In all cases, I received an email about an opportunity with very lit...

Zonkers,
Ointment is one of those words like “moist” that I have a love/hate relationship with. I sense the same is true for you. Maybe we should bring back the old word “liniment” so we can stop the giggling in the back of the classroom.

Re: Air blowing in my eyes, raisin eyes are painful
I am going to try a bigger blob of ointment tonight, thanks for the suggestion. I don’t have any regrets about these ointment experiments. It all seems like a good use of my time because I don’t know what I don’t know. And it gives me entertainment while I continue to drag my feet on a mask decision...

Re: Air blowing in my eyes, raisin eyes are painful
Normally I would be at work right now, but fate intervened delaying my day by 3 hours because of an administrative error. Good news is I have time for my Ointment Update for my fellow raisin eyed sufferers. First, my PSA: if you are going to stick ointment in your eye, wash your hands well with warm...

Re: Air blowing in my eyes, raisin eyes are painful
The Systane ointment is 3% mineral oil, the rest is white petroleum. The generics I found were copies of two different brand names that I don't recall; one was a 20/80 ratio and the other was like a 47/53 ratio or some such. I purchased the Systane. If there had been a Systane generic then I would h...

Re: Air blowing in my eyes, raisin eyes are painful
Thank you all so much! You have shared some wonderful ideas which I will be following up on. The eye cover/blinders did not work well with my mask- not enough real estate between what covers my nose and my eyeballs. It was worth a try. Next I'll try the eye ointment. I've been using Systane lubricat...

Re: Air blowing in my eyes, raisin eyes are painful
Thanks, Zonker.
I’m mulling over the merits of the p10 vs the dreamport nose sticker things. I pay out of pocket, so I calculated roughly $600 a year for dreamport. Humph. What am I willing to pay for increased comfort is my reflection of the day.

Re: Air blowing in my eyes, raisin eyes are painful
I haven’t tried a sleep mask. I wish I didn’t need to strap one more item to my face, but I do have one. I’ll try it tonight.

Air blowing in my eyes, raisin eyes are painful
I have in the last 6 weeks developed a problem of air blowing into my eyes at night, and waking up with painful dry eyes. I starting using lubricant drops while I troubleshoot the problem. Also, I seem to be developing neuropathy in my nose. During the day/while awake without cpap I feel tingling an...

Re: OSA and acid reflux, looking for advice
Reporting back to say that I am sleeping better. The key seemed to be lowering my MIN. I am now able to get between 4 to 6 hours with ResMed at night. It would be greater if I was regularly getting 7 hours of sleep at night (which was my normal for years) but I'm thankful for this improvement. The a...

Re: OSA and acid reflux, looking for advice
Thank you for all of the great advice. I have lowered my min pressure to 6. I'm reading over the other information. Looks like not eating 3 hours before bed may help matters as well. It's very convenient that I don't have to call it dieting, I can call it "managing my acid reflux." Maybe I'll be mor...

Re: OSA and acid reflux, looking for advice
I have a ResMed air curve vauto 10 with AirFit N20 nasal mask. My max is 8 and min is 6. I do not drink alcohol close to bedtime, I have a glass of wine on average a couple times a month. I am not currently taking any meds at bedtime, I take vitamins in the morning. I've attempted to update my signa...
