Re: AirFit F30 Mask Leak Issue

The AirFit F30 is the only mask I tried that did not leak for me. I am so happy with it. I do wear an eye mask at night to keep any leaks from the nasal pillow from drying out my eyes. I thought I would hate wearing eye mask, but now I love it.

Re: This high pressure is sucking my face off and making my mask leaky. Help

If you want to really investigate the centrals and other flagged apnea events you can use OSCAR/SleepyHead. Check to make sure there is a SD card in your machine (that manual I suggested that you get should show you where). Thanks Pugsy. I have been using Oscar for a couple of days now. In fact, th...

Re: This high pressure is sucking my face off and making my mask leaky. Help

Is there a guideline for how many centrals would be concerning? Depends on if you are sleeping soundly all night or if you tell me you are waking often. When waking often you will often pause your own breathing and the machine will flag that pause as a central but if you aren't asleep they don't co...

Re: This high pressure is sucking my face off and making my mask leaky. Help

1. Should I try to reduce my pressure myself? It seems that my OSAs and hypopneas are really low, but I am having clear airway ones. I have read a couple of research articles on consensus titration protocol standards, and I have watched LankLefty's video on bilevel titrations. My followup apt is 6 ...

Re: This high pressure is sucking my face off and making my mask leaky. Help

Good news is I got my large leak rate (according to Oscar) down to 26% (60% previous night)! Thanks to everyone for your help. I will keep this updated. You all have kept me from losing my mind these first few days. I think I am going back to my DME tomorrow and try either a mouth with nasal pillow ...

It's only been a couple of nights...give yourself some time.

Use the mask and machine while awake and under no pressure to be asleep so the brain can get used to its new best friend.
Thanks Pugsy! Great advice!

I'm still confused at how pressure can suck your face off. :D
Okay, maybe a little hyperbolic. However, it does feel like my eyes are about to pop out because of the pressure behind them in my sinus cavity(?).

sleeping well at all....is that correct?
Yes, that is correct. I am still sleepy even after being in bed for 7-8 hours.

This high pressure is sucking my face off and making my mask leaky. Help

Hello everyone! During my sleep study, I had continual mask leaks. I am not sure what percentage (like OSCAR and the DreamMapper software give me), but it was clear because the tech tried two mask and kept coming in to adjust mine to try and reduce the leaks. I am wondering if it is possible that my...
