Re: I'm trying to stick with it...AVAPS user
I can go to another sleep doctor but it's a huge inconvenience. I'm just giving him this last chance before I pursue that route.

Re: I'm trying to stick with it...AVAPS user
I read pretty much every thread and reply made by him and yea... You're right. The ASV is what I need. I told my doctor that last week and he made me second guess myself but he was so mad at me for adjusting my pressures myself that he couldnt think straight. He even said he wasnt sure if I could be...

Re: I'm trying to stick with it...AVAPS user
OMG I had the wrong Dreamstation in my profile. That explains a lot! When I first signed up, there were so many different "dreamstations" I wasnt quite sure which one to select. Mine is Dreamstation BiPap S/T. It has ST, S & CPAP mode. I've tried all of those in varying pressures and feel no better....

Re: I'm trying to stick with it...AVAPS user
Based on my sleep study posted above was the Respironics 1030X the right machine for me? After using it for a few weeks, I just feel worse.

Re: I'm trying to stick with it...AVAPS user
The last attachment. My doctor wants me to call in to schedule a follow up. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Re: I'm trying to stick with it...AVAPS user
Ok, so I finally got a copy of the report from my 2nd sleep study. This is the one where they put me on the CPAP machine. Over the past few weeks I've really been struggling with this Respironics. My AHI is between 5-10 and I never feel like I've gotten a good rest. I'm always tired, constantly fati...

Re: I'm trying to stick with it...AVAPS user
I tried to install encore pro but apparently I need an SQL database and some other program. Might be a weekend project. I did get access to the OSCAR beta and it does a good job of reading the AVAPS data but unfortunately won't even import the CPAP data. They said it will be fixed on the next versio...

Re: I'm trying to stick with it...AVAPS user
So last night I switched it from ST mode to CPAP mode. I actually had a pretty decent sleep, I slept for about 8 hours and only woke up a few times but was able to go right back to sleep. I did notice when I woke up that my mouth was leaking air, so tonight I'm gonna sleep with some tape on my mouth...

Re: I'm trying to stick with it...AVAPS user
I switched my dreamstation from ST over to CPAP, I just tried it for a few minutes to see what it's like. On the ST setting, when I exhale, the air stops blowing in and it lets me comfortably exhale. Then when my exhale stops, it sorta intuitively knows when to start blowing air in again. This is ki...

Re: I'm trying to stick with it...AVAPS user
Also, my dad has an airsense10 that he's been using for a while. He's got no problem with me giving that a shot and seeing how it works out. Wanted to get some advice on that before I jump into it though.

Re: I'm trying to stick with it...AVAPS user
Thanks for the feedback pugsy. After browsing around here, I'm noticing you offer feedback to basically every post! I dont know how you find the time, but you help a lot of people! After my first sleep study the recommendation was to "proceed with cpap titration". Now do you think that was sort of l...

Re: I'm trying to stick with it...AVAPS user
Thanks for the input. I thought it was strange that my sleep study said to titrate to a cpap machine but then I got an avaps machine. Of course I'm totally new to this and dont know the difference. I noticed the apnea board seems to have a lot of posts on this device, maybe I'll give them a shot.

Here are the settings for my machine. Mode: ST IPAP: 16 EPAP: 11 BPM: 10 Ti: 1 Humidification: Adaptive Ramp Time: 30 Ramp Start: 7 Rise: 1 Mask Type: Off (I did some research on my own and couldn't find what setting to use for AirFit P10 Mask. The clinician said this was fine) I have attached my sl...
