Re: Is the AirMini worth it?

I think it is... but I modified mine to work with the DreamWear masks and fitted a silencer. I find that I don't need additional humidity, but I can use the HumidX cartridges with the DreamWear cushion if I want. Re: Battery Pack Testing & Review - Omni 20+ & Omni Mobile 25,600

I was asked how long these batteries would last at 16cm H2O in another thread about my AirMini modifications , so I did some testing. I'm re-posting here because it's relevant to this thread as well: The testing I conducted was to run the AirMini from a battery pack, but this was only done because I...

Re: Travel CPAP Experience, Plans, Batteries, Testing, Modification etc.

But that's not the reply you were waiting for... You want to know how I got on testing the run-time under various conditions. The testing I conducted was to run the AirMini from a battery pack, but this was only done because I could then use the 24v DC power cable with barrel connector end. I have m...

Re: Travel CPAP Experience, Plans, Batteries, Testing, Modification etc.

I am working toward something like you did, but I am just getting started with it. Once you start trying to glue / bond things together, you'll quickly find out that almost no glues stick to the materials used in the CPAP tubing and connectors. That's the main reason I ended up using Bondic, becaus...

Re: Travel CPAP Experience, Plans, Batteries, Testing, Modification etc.

Thanks, I have a hard time with some of the stated mfg spec's on most products. I read your other post but wanted to see if your calculations were proven in actual use. It is so hard to calculate battery discharge with so many variables. If I get 7-8 hours on the battery at 16cm constant I will be ...

Re: Travel CPAP Experience, Plans, Batteries, Testing, Modification etc.

I am curious about the performance of the omni mobile you are using. Can you estimate how many hours you are getting? And if you are at a higher or lower pressure? I am about to buy one and I am trying to reinforce my decision not to buy the Pilot-24. Obviously the Pilot 24 is well tested with CPAP...

Re: Travel CPAP Experience, Plans, Batteries, Testing, Modification etc.

Finally, I also bought a couple of travel bags for all that those pieces. First up, a mesh bag to hold the tubing: https://i.ibb.co/HKPxjbg/IMG-0634.jpg This goes in the top of the bag I bought. A Peak Design’s Everyday Sling 6L. Here’s how it looks with the tubing removed: https://i.ibb.co/pdnKgSq/...

Re: Travel CPAP Experience, Plans, Batteries, Testing, Modification etc.

I have some updates... I’ve tried sleeping with my AirMini a couple of times now, and found it to be a pretty similar experience to the AirSense 10 in terms of pressure feeling etc. The major issue I’ve had with the AirMini though is noise. One evening when I was going to try the AirMini, my wife co...

Re: Travel CPAP Experience, Plans, Batteries, Testing, Modification etc.

It's true, the S9 is a pretty nice size. The AirSense 10 series isn't quite as small, even if you remove the humidifier and fit the blanking plate. That is an interesting option though... I should probably do some tests on power consumption with the AirSense 10 and compare it to the AirMini. The air...

Re: Battery Pack Testing & Review - Omni 20+ & Omni Mobile 25,600

The Omni Mobile 25,600 is a costed down battery pack, but with many of the same features of the Omni 20+, and a larger capacity. Both the Omni 20+ and the Omni Mobile 25,600 use 18650 cells, with the 20+ using 6 and the Mobile 25,600 using 8. Despite the additional capacity, pricing is also lower fo...

Re: Battery Pack Testing & Review - Omni 20+ & Omni Mobile 25,600

Starting with the Omni 20+, this is a beautifully designed product. It features an OLED screen with information about the outputs enabled, the instantaneous W pulled from the cells, a battery percentage etc. https://i.ibb.co/HHK7jPH/Oled-Screen-3.jpg The Omni 20+ also has a lot of different inputs a...

Battery Pack Testing & Review - Omni 20+ & Omni Mobile 25,600

During your Black Friday sales, I purchased both an Omni Mobile 25,600 and an Omni 20+ unit which I plan to use to power my ResMed AirMini CPAP machine during a flight or when camping. In doing my research on battery solutions, I discovered the hot topic on Reddit about the choice of cells used for ...

Re: Travel CPAP Experience, Plans, Batteries, Testing, Modification etc.

I do travel a fair bit, but the other benefits are weight and power consumption. As I'm about to post, I've been preparing for a battery powered solution and testing portable battery packs with that in mind.

Re: Travel CPAP Experience, Plans, Batteries, Testing, Modification etc.

I got home tonight to find that some of the other parts I ordered have been delivered. Still no AirMini to regular adapter, that's coming tomorrow, but tonight I got another full N20 setup pack (no mask, but includes the tubing, 2 HumidX cartridges, HumidX holder and N20 elbow. I also received a cou...
