Re: Knightsbridge CPAP chinstra
Anyone use the Knightsbridge CPAP chin strap? Saw it online and it looks interesting. Anyone who uses it have any feedback? Is it worth getting? Thanks I tried to use the Knightsbridge strap. It worked but it was very uncomfortable to me, made my forehead itch, and also made me grind my teeth (obvi...

Re: I'm losing hope, maybe someone can help
For what it's worth, I use a CPAPology "Houdini" hose lift with the Bleep; the terrycloth hose cover provides enough friction to keep the hose in place inside the loop that it hangs from. I use another hose holder. I can't remember what it's called, but it's one of the "popular" ones. Would you rec...

Re: I'm losing hope, maybe someone can help
One small bit of housekeeping: could you fill out your profile with information about your machine and mask? Weird. I have the equipment selected and saved in my user control panel/profile. I figured it showed up but you're right. It's not listed, only the comments. I'll see if I can fix it. Also, ...

Re: I'm losing hope, maybe someone can help
If your nose gets sore from the nasal pillows, you are probably wearing them either too tight or the wrong size. Nasal pillows should sit gently, just a tiny bit into the nostrils. A lot of people find that even if they have small nostrils they are more comfortable with the large size pillows. I fo...

I'm losing hope, maybe someone can help
Hi everyone, I started CPAP therapy just over a year ago. I know two other people with sleep apnea, and they both say it changed their lives. I wish I had that, but it doesn't seem like it. POSITIVES The only positive thing I have noticed is that I get up less often to use the bathroom during the ni...

Re: It’s no wonder cpap compliance is so liw
No matter how many problems I solve, more problems pop up and make it impossible to use cpap. I hate this thing. I think the best solution is to sleep on my side with a pillow blocking me from rolling over. My sleep study said it is positional, that I had no event on my side. Nightmare. Sorry this ...

Re: Nova: Mysteries of Sleep
Did anyone have those hat like things with the electrodes when they did their sleep studies/titrations? I had them literally pasted to my head. It was awful.

Re: I'm trying to learn how to read OSCAR data - can you add insights?
I worked in the medical field for over 30 years but I retired some time ago. I am just an old biddy who likes to help people and I use the cpap myself and I have experimented just to ease the boredom...and I have read a lot. "just an old biddy"?!?!? no you are special and you need to know that. we ...

Re: Newish User / Questions / Problems / Thoughts
Well.....something is changing to cause a need for more pressure because the OSA is worse and needs more pressure. The only 2 real potential culprits for the changes...REM or supine sleeping. We can't really do much about REM and it's iffy if people can do anything about it anyway....easier said th...

Just because we can't fall asleep on our backs doesn't mean we don't go there during the night. I can't fall asleep on my back either...hurts too much but guess what position I woke up in this morning and hurting like hell...yep...on my back. You can google "sleep stages" and look at the hypn...

Re: Newish User / Questions / Problems / Thoughts
A little bit of cluster of some event occasionally. Doesn't appear to be within a probable REM time frame every time so either supine sleeping or maybe a combination of supine and REM related. If you see the clusters consistently each night....little bit more minimum pressure should break them up. ...

Re: Newish User / Questions / Problems / Thoughts
We don't need the respiration graph....but we do need the events graph a bit larger. Maybe resize the pressure graph a little smaller also so that the other graphs are more equal in size. I'm not sure how that even got in there. It seems like sometimes the graphs just decide to move around on their...

Re: Newish User / Questions / Problems / Thoughts
Sorry to quote everyone but I want to get some opinions on raising the minimum pressure. Here are the last three nights. What do you think? Thanks! Also, I will say that I feel like I'm sleeping better, once I fall asleep, but I still don't really feel any more "well rested" the next day. I never h...
