Leaking Increasing

Hi friends! I've been trying to educate myself regarding leak rates the past few days in order to avoid making a post but I'm struggling to grasp what has been happening. I began my CPAP journey in 2019 after my sleep study showed an AHI of 141+, I was feeling amazing after getting into the rhythm o...

That is NOT normal but I don't know how to fix it.
Plus we shouldn't have to "fix it".
Thank you for the reply, much appreciated. I didn't think it was normal, I'll definitely get back in touch with them

Airfit P10 Mask Leak Assistance

Hi folks! Been using the Airfit P10 for a couple years now and it's working really well. I had a new P10 sent out from a retailer here in Australia and my leak numbers sky rocketed (looking at the MyAir app, which I know isn't as accurate as Oscar) The leak numbers went from basically 0, to never un...

Re: Possible Aerophagia?

So in the past week/10 days, have got my pressure down to 10 and my AHI has held steady at below 4. I definitely have caught myself at the beginning of snoring for the first time since using CPAP but I still manage to sleep through the night. The possible aerophagia symptoms have slowed but remained...

Re: Possible Aerophagia?

perfectly acceptable until you get a handle on the aerophagia. Yep considering I was well over 141 AHI when first diagnosed with OSA I think if I can maintain it around 1-2 the result speaks for itself. Still not totally ruled out, but the quality of life difference I've experienced is incredible! ...

Re: Possible Aerophagia?

Stomach cramps and burping can be symptoms of CPAP-induced aerophagia. Diarrhea from CPAP would not be common. If this continues for a week or so, I would seek a colonoscopy. Sadly have been there already. It's been happening in bouts over the last 4 weeks, at times the cramps were so severe I had ...

Re: Possible Aerophagia?

Thanks for the responses here pugsy and zonker. I've been pretty wrapped with being under 1 for my AHI of late, but I think I'll be happy with anything under 5 considering I started at 141+ from my sleep study. I will drop my pressure tonight and see how things go and report back over the next week ...

Possible Aerophagia?

Hi folks, Looking for a bit of direction here. I started CPAP therapy around 2 years now and it's been incredible. I have tried a range of masks in that time, and started with FFM's but now have settled on the P10. The bonus is, I thought anyway, was my AHI was dropping to under 4 most nights, up fr...

Re: CPAP and my Ears?

At my age, any new creak, squeak, or croak can be arthritis. At your age (whatever it is)---no way of telling . . . haha, I'm 32, so hopefully not arthritis yet, well not in my jaw hopefully at very least. CPAP has been a mostly positive journey I should point out, these little issues in no way out...

Re: CPAP and my Ears?

Thanks folks, I know I should probably wait before jumping to any conclusions, my GP is normally pretty great but has been a little lackadaisical regarding this one, mostly because it's not actually causing any pain I think. But during my upcoming appointment I'm going to push a bit harder in gettin...

CPAP and my Ears?

So I've been on CPAP since December 2019 and have had terrific results with my AHI going from 140+ down to 4-10 on a Full Face Mask and now under 2 with a Nasal Mask, however recently I've been having some issues with my right ear which my GP is struggling to figure out what is going on. I'll start ...

Re: waking up to use bathroom

Can confirm the biggest surprise of starting my CPAP Therapy (December 2019) my 6+ trips a night to the toilet now see me sleeping through until morning. This and now rarely any indigestion have been as amazing for me as getting decent sleep!

Good luck with your treatment.

Re: Bleep/DreamPort nasal mask review thread

If you want to test the adhesive Pugsy in the past has offered to ship a piece or 2 for that. She may still have some available for testing. I do have a little bit left but only enough to maybe test for skin reaction for one night. Not for a long term usage test. The adhesive used is not known to c...

Re: Bleep/DreamPort nasal mask review thread

I imported the bleep mask to the UK, I just bought a years supply 24 box’s of Dreamports and one Dreamway connector they come in a fairly large box so shipping was fairly high but a one-off cost, it not a cheap solution when your paying out of pocket but I’ve just bough my second year supplies of d...

Re: Bleep/DreamPort nasal mask review thread

Sorry if this counts as bringing up an old thread (only a couple months though so don't hurt me!) I've been having a lot of trouble with faciess from full face masks and nasal masks, so I was looking for a better solution for me, so I was looking at Nasal Pillows / Nasal Cradle masks and now it real...
