Re: Started using new mask and still getting leaks
I went back to my F20 for a few days while I waited for the medium F40 to arrive. At first I was still having leaks, but I saw a video that mentioned routing the hose up above your head. I hadn't thought that allowing the hose to hang over the side of the bed could make much of a difference, but it ...

Re: Started using new mask and still getting leaks
I think the sleep tech did me wrong. He insisted I was a large, but I just tried using the size guide and it looks more like I'm a medium. My nose is completely out of the box lengthwise on the L/SW boxes. I had a good night last night, actually, but woke up at one point with pain in my nostrils aga...

Started using new mask and still getting leaks
I went in for a mask fitting a while ago and decided to give the AirFit F40 a try. I had been using the F20. I was having terrible results so I ordered some compatible mask liners from RemZzzs. Tried it for the first time last night and still woke up to a red frowny face on my display. Here is my sl...

Re: BIPAP Noise
How old are you? I'm 55. Is it possible the pee breaks in the middle of the night are prostate related? I had a physical in June and I had a PSA test that was normal. I should probably see a urologist. I haven't been to one in years. And yes...do you take any other meds besides the sleeping aid? Th...

Re: BIPAP Noise
The chart shows a messy sleep: How many hours of real sleep? Are those hours fragmented with a lot of arousals? What meds are being taken? Any other health conditions??? How do you feel all day? I do get to sleep late, around 11:30 most nights. I get up around 8-8:30. I have to get up to go to the ...

Re: BIPAP Noise
SleepyHead is no longer supported. Most users switched to OSCAR. As compared to OSCAR, SleepHQ is easier to use and much easier to post in this forum. And, the forum members can zoom in on the SleepHQ charts. I'm hanging on to OSCAR, because we never know when the owners of HQ will stop offering fr...

Re: BIPAP Noise
Can I still snore with BIPAP? I didn't think it sounded like that. It could sound like mask farting.

BIPAP Noise
Does anyone know what this noise is? My wife recorded me last night thinking I was snoring.

Thanks.
Edit: I checked my stats for last night and my leak was 21.6 L/min.

Re: Doctor negligence?
I remember originally it was the OSA. Based on my latest sleep study, where I got to a point of zero AHI.ChicagoGranny wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2023 3:59 pmIt might be to your benefit to know why you need a bilevel machine. Do you know what the prescribed machine settings are?
I'm trying to see if I can get a copy of the latest study.

Re: Doctor negligence?
The doc likely would not know the diff cpap models by looking at them unless s/he also uses a cpap. You know what you car looks like, you know what model it is - make sure you know what your life saving equipment looks like AND they do ALL look the alike so that is where YOU need to know the model ...

Re: Doctor negligence?
I have a new sleep study and he says, "you need a BIPAP." Why do you need a bilevel machine? I had a new sleep study recently and that was the determination. But the sleep study from my old doctor had determined the same thing. For whatever reason, someone dropped the ball. I believe I have obstruc...

Re: Doctor negligence?
No, I have no intention of filing a lawsuit. I have brought it up with the doctor but he's somewhat avoided the issue.
