What kind of gunk?
That doesn't sound right. I wash mine once a week with hot water and dishwashing liquid. No gunk in 6 months so far.
What kind of water are you using?

Re: low pressure with 0 AHI
I'm so glad you posted this because I am brand new to cpap and was recently diagnosed. I have severe sleep apnea (44 events per hour) and was given the Resmed Airssense 10 for her. It has set my pressure to only 5.8 which brings my AHI to 0.4. I am using the full face F20 mask. I was sort of worrie...

Re: low pressure with 0 AHI
I’m not 0 every night, but average around 0.8.
My range is 5.2 - 6.0, which would be considered low.
My pressure requirements have dropped significantly since getting fitter.

Re: Resumed air fit p30 and dreamstation
According to Phillips you use the "off" setting for every non Phillips mask. Not sure how much difference those X settings actually make, there's varied reports. I've not noticed a difference when I've tried them. I've been using the X2 setting because that's what Phillips recommend for their versio...

Re: ResMed N30i Nasal/Pillow Mask
Yep, pillows.
The nasal setting is for those nasal masks that cover the nose over the bridge.
The nasal cushions that sit under the nose only like the N30i use the pillow setting.

Re: SARS-COV-2 PSA (from a chemist)
Australian’s have the solution for coronavirus, they are buying huge quantities of toilet paper in preparation.
Seems stupid to me, but everyone here is doing it so it must be a good idea.

Re: Breathes per minute
Med is the median (middle value) respiratory rate for the night. It’s roughly analogous to the average value. It’s the value I’d expect to be somewhere between 12 and 20 (12 to 20 breaths per minute). That the one you want. If it says 15 it means your average breaths per minute for the night is 15. ...

Re: Breathes per minute
Respiratory rate is exactly what you're looking for. It is a measure of breaths per minute. Normal resting RR is somewhere between 12 and 20. Tidal volume is the volume of air inhaled and exhaled per breath. Minute vent is RR x TV. OSCAR gives you a graph over time as well as statistical information...

Re: Root cause of my OSA?
This might offend pugsy and I'm sorry if it does, but I just wanted to show personal experience which might help you. My issue was also flow limits (not as bad as yours) and hypopneas. I'm not going to make any claims that might offend anyone's knowledge, I'm just going to let the graphs do the talk...

Re: Why are there so many bad reviews of the Philips Respironics DreamStation?
I use both. The Resmed's auto function is way better. Resmed's event detection accuracy is better. The Resmed's provides basic BiLevel function up to 3cmH2O. The Dreamstation does not, it just has a expiration relief which only works for some people, many find it disturbing. Noisy levels are the sam...

Re: Covid-19 - Extra Protection from CPAP?
Covid-19 is nothing to panic about, CPAP or not.
So far 9 Americans have died of it.
As of today 6,758 Americans have died through gun violence this year, and roughly 647,000 will die from heart disease this year.
I'd be more worried about not getting shot and eating well.

Re: Baseline AHI analysis with CPAP (without airflow adjustments)
CPAP is a treatment tool, it is not a diagnostic tool.
