Re: Essential oils or VapoRub...

Word of warning to everyone if you use essential oils....be careful and don't let it drop on your machine. I did and didn't notice it some time ago on one of my machines and it made an ugly spot on the machine that I just had to live it. While it didn't affect function....it was ugly and I don't li...

Re: Dent in my head from the straps

Strap pads/covers can help reduce the dents either on the scalp or the face. Pads/covers help dissipate the pressure a bit so less chance of such a big dent. Dents are a fluid distribution issue....some people just have bodies that don't disperse the fluids or even them out very quickly. I never ha...

I looked like a grey headed Ace Ventura before I figured that out, especially with the top-hosed style masks.

Just put it along side the air intake
Thank you! Dumb question maybe but... the air intake is where the filters are, correct?

Thank you again! :)

Re: Dent in my head from the straps

Thank you everyone, I'll check out and try out the suggestions. :D Good to know that while it might not be "normal" it's at least not unheard of. It is nice that it helps the straps to stay put instead of sliding around. It happens to my face too but that goes away during the day. Oh man, it ...

Essential oils or VapoRub...

Hi!

Would it be bad to put essential oils such as lavender or Vicks Vaporub on a cotton ball and gently tuck it into the space where the filters go? Or lay the cotton ball on top of the water chamber for the humidifier, something like that?

Thank you!!

Dent in my head from the straps

Hi! I've been on my machine for 9 years now. I noticed that I have indentations around my head where the mask straps go, enough so that it actually shows up sometimes in how my hair lays lol. I can't loosen the straps because then the mask won't stay on. Is this normal? Does anyone else have this? I...

Re: Open filters from the supply house...

This topic reminded me of the finger print on the glass scene from The Aviator. The senator deliberately places a big greasy finger print on Howard Hughes drinking glass, knowing he was a germaphobe to disarm him during their negotiations. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHPEmBlBjuY For me a finger...

Re: Open filters from the supply house...

What kind of filters? Disposable or reusable? https://www.cpap.com/productpage/pr-dreamstation-cpap-disposable-filter-6-pack https://www.cpap.com/productpage/pr-dreamstation-cpap-reusable-flter-2-pack The only filters I've ever used are the reusable (black) foam filters which I rinse out and reuse ...

Sorry, but sometimes it's fun to remind germophobes that there is NO WAY to avoid germs.
Correction: the space program does it--but they have a lot of our money.
No sorry needed, I'm definitely a germophobe lol.

Re: Open filters from the supply house...

You never know... that's the point, and even if there are machines that make big rolls of the stuff, and slit it and stuff it into little baggies for your comfort... who do you think inspects those rolls, works on the machines, handles the product? Freaking out about something you *see*, when you h...

Given that you have no idea at all what the conditions are *before* they're put in the baggies.... who knows who's coughing up what diseases on the production line...
Guess I was stupid enough to think they're automated. I figured it was done with a machine(s), not fingers.
