I am going to try a Remzzz liner tonight
Pad A Cheek liner lasts me about a year before it gets too thin to be effective anymore. It gets washed twice a week by going into a delicate's type mesh bag & is washed along with a regular load of laundry. typically with cold or warm water. Dave Hi Dave, I had a look at the Pad A Cheek website an...

Re: Favorite hose cover?
I bought a soft snuggly plush throw rug and mum made a hose cover out of it for me. The hose cover is loose-fitting to make it easy to take on and off. I use elastic bands at each end to hold the hose cover in place. You can't see the elastic bands because the throw rug material is so fluffy. So muc...

Re: How often will I need to replace parts for mask & CPAP
Still hanging in there. I am on my third mask trying to get one that fits and doesn't have excessive leaks. I first tried the Fisher & Paykel Eson 2, medium sized, nasal mask but it caused my nostrils/sinuses to block up. I used it at first with no humidity, then tried at different humidity levels w...

Re: How often will I need to replace parts for mask & CPAP
Funny thing how doctors can blithely brush you off---until you mention/suggest depression . . . It is almost a magic word. (Like bleeding, or unconsciousness make the ER move faster.) Lol, so very true. Maybe we should make a sticky post with all the magic words  I won't be seeing my family do...

Re: How often will I need to replace parts for mask & CPAP
After 2 weeks of using my CPAP I finally got a good nights sleep without waking with a panicky feeling throughout the night and having to pull my mask off. At first I was using a nasal mask but I kept swallowing air so switched to a full face mask, but it was the wrong size (too small) and made me p...

Re: How often will I need to replace parts for mask & CPAP
Thanks for your tips everyone... You'll find the routine that works for you. As for drying out the humidifier chamber, you do not need to set the humidity to 0, but I agree it is a good idea to let air blow through the machine after you empty the water each morning. I do this and also use distilled...

Re: How often will I need to replace parts for mask & CPAP
Thanks for your tips everyone. It's a relief to know that the parts will still work even if they are not replaced as often as the manufacturer says. That should save me quite a bit of money. I will look around for cheaper suppliers that will ship to New Zealand, I have to take into account the curre...

Re: How often will I need to replace parts for mask & CPAP
Thanks Palerider. Have you ever needed to replace the air tube or water (humidity) chamber for the CPAP? Also my CPAP filters can't be washed, I was told by my support team to just flick the filters to get the dust off them

I am going to try using a Remzzz's mask liner tonight
Hi, I am a newbie living in New Zealand. I started using CPAP 10 days ago (Fisher & Paykel Sleepstyle Auto CPAP and Fisher & Paykel Vitera mask). I was wondering how often I will be needing to replace components of the CPAP and the mask so I can budget for it. I will have to pay for the replacement ...
