Re: Child taking cpap off in sleep
If I wake up in the night and look at the screen it is bright enough to read, but not so bright that it "wakes me all the way up," and the next day I need to charge the ring again, and the ring and the phone take the same amount of time to charge, so it all works out.

Re: Child taking cpap off in sleep
After starting CPAP months almost a year ago, more nights than not I would take the mask off in my sleep. This went on for seven months until I bought an alarm that monitors the amount of oxygen in your blood. It works like the oxygen sensors that are placed over your fingertip. It is a ring that yo...

Re: I can't keep my mask on.
I use the ResMed Airfit P30i, which is similar to yours, except it has pillows for the nose instead of the small mask. It was constantly coming off about the 2 hour mark. I did not know if it was coming off because of me shifting around, or if I was taking it off in my sleep. I attached a headband t...

Re: Mouth-breathing
I use the generic brand Equate athletic tape from Walmart. It costs less than 2 bucks and lasts about 3 weeks. 1 piece does not always hold through the night, I use 2 and it works great.

Update on P30i
I switched out the pillows to the larger size, and all is well. I am an active sleeper, and the band that goes around the back of the head would slip over my head sometimes and the entire contraption would come off of my head. I attached a Scunchi head band to the strap that goes behind the head, at...

Re: P30i
I have been using it for five nights. I have been using lanolin every day after the first night. I will go up a size, I thought it was supposed to go into the nostril. Thanks for all of the replies.

P30i
I tried a P30i nasal pillow for the last few nights, but it is making the inside of my nose raw. Is it possible to replace just the nose part with theN30i piece and continue using the rest of the headgear?

Re: ResMed versus Respironics
Thank you for showing me the error of my ways. I see the light now, and it is rays coming from that ball of sunshine. Again, thanks.

Re: ResMed versus Respironics
Thank you Palerider. Whenever I have a bad day, I know that I can come on this forum and be lifted up by one of your inspiring, helpful, and caring posts. You are a little ball of sunshine. If you want "sunshine", go outside. If you want facts .... then read here. If you want roses and lollypops, g...

Re: ResMed versus Respironics
So my DreamStation look pretty proactive last night, ramping up the pressure before an event happened. You are *wrong*. No machine out there raises pressure *before* anything happens, no matter what you want to believe. Facts are facts, again, no matter what you want to believe. I feel like you wan...

Re: ResMed versus Respironics
I was surprised with the travel bag for the Dreamstation. For a machine that costs several hundred dollars I would have thought they would have thrown in a bag that offered more than minimal protection. I think I will get one of those hard plastic cases that comes with the foam inside that you cut t...

ResMed versus Respironics
It seems that the majority of people here prefer the ResMed. Why is that? When I was diagnosed it was recommended that I get the Respironics Dreamstation, so that is what I have. If I remember correctly, the insurance company will pay for a machine every five years, so in less I am willing to buy a ...
