Re: Multiple Sessions in One Night
It's the multiple session bug. Note the time that one session ends and the next session begins....they are the same time but there is no real break in the therapy line. Software bug in the machine itself and conveying that to the SD card and likely explains why there is a break in the green exhale ...

Re: Multiple Sessions in One Night
Okay, I've uploaded some images from OSCAR, it looks to me like the machine wasn't recording data for the periods that terminate the sessions. The graph shows the normal pressure but the EPAP reading, from the Flex, is missing. The other graphs all show a break in readings at the same time, although...

Re: Multiple Sessions in One Night
Turn ramp on. If the machine is power cycling, you will see the machine set to ramp at the beginning of every session. If you don't see ramp then it's likely a reporting issue. Post a graph, we still might be able to tell if it's a power cycling or reporting issue. If at the start of sessions, your...

Multiple Sessions in One Night
I've been using OSCAR since about the time I started using my DreamMapper CPAP machine, tracking my results for each night. A few weeks ago I noticed more than a single session in one night on some occasions, the last 4-5 days it has become each night. OSCAR will show that it imported 3-4 sessions a...

oxymetazoline products, I used it for many years on a daily basis These researchers concluded that long-term use led to ... long-term use. The authors concluded that long-term use of oxymetazoline induces a sensation of nasal stuffiness, which may be due to unconscious exaggeration of the degree of...

Re: Use of Otrivine... I stopped and AHI dropped.
On the topic of "Afrin" or similar oxymetazoline products, I used it for many years on a daily basis, the rebound effect would only mean not using it for a day or two before I could use it again. That's just my experience though and everyone's sinuses may react differently. I have atopic rhinitis an...

Re: Newbie: Newly Diagnosed Sleep Apnea
The machine wanted to go higher than 10, .... and most of the night it was above five. I'd go for 7-20 if it were me, and see what that looks like... but that's up to you. 7-20 was where I started and had erratic readings on my oximeter from bedtime to about midnight. In most cases my AHI was worse...

Re: Newbie: Newly Diagnosed Sleep Apnea
My doctor got back to me and after analyzing the APAP results he thinks the pressure range is too high. He wants it at 5-10. This is based on the data download, he doesn't have access to the oximetry data since I could only send him images like I posted here. Unless you're suffering from painful st...

Re: Newbie: Newly Diagnosed Sleep Apnea
bjhughes, you has an excellent description for Flex settings. Another problem with the flex is you already has a low minimum pressure and you add 2 cm drop pressure with the flex on epap and your airway can collapse when exhale. As other said... Few change at a time is better. So, as flex is only a...

Re: Newbie: Newly Diagnosed Sleep Apnea
You do have the ability to unlock anything that the provider has locked. Flex is normally considered a comfort setting and entirely within acceptable parameters for the patient to have access to for either changing or turning off. The other stuff you can change also if you are comfortable doing so....

Re: Newbie: Newly Diagnosed Sleep Apnea
Symptoms of apnea can include T2 diabetes. Apnea is a b*tch. I got my T2 diabetes about 12 years ago, I managed it pretty well when I had good insurance, then I changed jobs with worse insurance, my endocrinologist quit working and I had trouble finding a new doctor. I've been able to keep it under...
