Re: Philips Attempting to Avoid Replacement of Recalled Older System One CPAPs

Phillips have replaced my system 60 machine with a new Dreamstation 1 Auto, they included a humidifier, heated hose, a plain hose, filters and a mains power adapter in a carry case, basically the same setup as if you purchased a new DS1. The DS1 was setup as per my old machine settings as I had sen...

Just received an email from Philips today regarding my System One CPAP
Hey, at least you got an email about it. I discovered it by randomly checking status online last night.

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

Nice job Philips, shifting the problem over the insurance companies and individuals that bought theirs outright. I have a System One Series 60 and I paid over $2000 for my share after insurance paid part of it. No way I'm taking $50 for it so definitely will be having it fixed. It's a back up machi...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

Looks like there is a fresh recall… https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/philips-recalls-some-respiratory-machines-over-plastic-component-contamination-2022-08-29/ Dutch medical device maker Philips (PHG.AS)said on Monday it has expanded an earlier recall of some respiratory m...

Re: What has everybody affected by the recall done?

When I learned about this: It was in September when my then DME supplier notified me of the recall. After a number of testy exchanges, they claimed that their software failed to notify a small number of patients in a timely manner and that Philips had a similar issue, particularly with patine ts wit...

Re: New CPAP- from China?!?

I'd been working with one local DME. Supposedly I'm on a wait-list. My PC doc sent in an order for a replacement CPAP to their affiliated DME. I got a call from them yesterday to update my insurance (it changed this year) because they were trying to bill and it was being rejected. I have heard nothi...

Re: My Dreamstation replacement arrived

Question for the OP (or anyone else): I just got a FedEx delivery notification. Can you confirm where your unit was shipped from? FedEx doesn't provide any real shipper information. I'm just curious if my replacement has finally shipped--still waiting on my DME to get units for replacement with a R...

Re: The lifespan of an AirMini

That makes some sense, since as a travel machine, it is assumed it will be unplugged when not in use--as opposed to a home machine, which remains plugged in at all times. I cannot attest to any actual benefit to unplugging, though it probably cannot hurt. I ended up putting mine on a smart plug tha...

Has anyone attempted to contact their government reps and/or state AGs?
WTH would you expect them to do that would be of benefit to anyone?
Not a damn thing. But it would make me feel better to have some investigation of the ineptitude.
