Sleepweaver

Hi, I have been using the Resmed N 30i nasal cushion but they sent me a “new” design of the cushion with Quiet Air vents and I felt like I could not breath. I just ordered a Sleepweaver cloth mask...has anyone tried this, and if so, how did you like it?

Re: Degrading Scores :( Trying to learn how to read OSCAR data

I was advised to switch to regular autopap versus the “for her” mode by Pugsy and it has made a big difference. Reduced my flow limits and am doing better in all other ways. I do not snore much but apparently needed more pressure and the “for her” mode was not responding to what I needed. My minimum...

Re: Ready to quit after 21 days!! Please help!!

Hi Peaceanna! I am a fairly new to all this myself-5 months in, nearly. It takes awhile to get used to having a machine blow air up your nose all night. I have been 100% compliant out of fear because of drastic symptoms despite being diagnosed with mild sleep apnea. You will learn a lot from experie...

Re: experienced c-pappers please weigh in-suggested tweaks?

I feel good, nearly back to my old self. I was wondering about going to 12 but for now will just see how it goes. I was having episodes of increased heart rate, which I have not had in a few weeks, and for sure have not had since I changed the mode. My Pcp thought there was something about the press...

Re: experienced c-pappers please weigh in-suggested tweaks?

Re: per advice from Ms. Pugsy, I changed my mode from "For Her" to regular Autopap mode. It does seem like the flow limits are reduced, although I did see on another post that flow limits appear worse on "For Her". Anyway, it seems I am much improved on this different mode for whatever reason, so th...

I bought my F model on Amazon for 86 dollars. It works great, and I am able to upload it to Oscar. It is very user friendly.

Re: experienced c-pappers please weigh in-suggested tweaks?

You are exactly right, chunkyfrog. Too many patients to do adequate follow up and so many new patients to order sleep studies on for the real money. I finally convinced them to order an overnight oximetry and all they gave me for a report was that my oxygen dropped several times but not long enough ...

Re: experienced c-pappers please weigh in-suggested tweaks?

Hmmmm. Well, could be worth trying. The sleep clinic was none to thrilled that I changed my own minimum pressure from 9 to 10 because I saw on Oscar data that I still had OAs. Then the NP agreed I wasn’t wrong to change it and increased it to 11 at my request. I am an NP myself, but have not had exp...

experienced c-pappers please weigh in-suggested tweaks?

hi, I am a few months in to therapy and am trying to optimize my pressures on my own, as the sleep medicine clinic is not really helping me. I am now on APAP 11-15 and I have not had an OA in several days and now mostly have CA or H. Can anyone tell me if there are any other changes that might help ...

Re: Do symptoms disappear right away?

Don’t get discouraged. It may take up to six months to feel better. I am four months in myself and other than not waking up multiple times with an increased heart rate anymore, or rarely. (Still titrating my pressures with Oscar software) I have not noticed a drastic change. I was not really that ti...

Re: Increased heart rate at night-help!

Update- so happy I found this forum and learned about the Oscar program. I purchased an SD card reader, uploaded my sd card from my cpap and on the night I had my overnight oximetry, 6 episodes of O2 sat <88% I had 6 obstructive apneas. My settings were changed from 5-15 to 10-15 and I only rarely h...

Re: Question for the Wisdom of the Group on Power Failures

I have been thinking of the possibility of a power failure as well. I live in Texas, and while we don’t have too much severe weather, we have had ice or severe cold a few times which could result in a several day outage. We are considering a generator with multiple fuel options or at least being abl...

Increased heart rate at night-help!

Hi, I am new to the forum and a fairly new Cpap user. (3mo) I have had an increased heart rate, up to the 90s once or twice per night. I do not have it every night. I bought a zzoma pillow to keep myself on my side, which does not seem to affect it. I turned off the ramp except first five min. I tur...
