Re: HELP! I need to sleep tonight!
Pugsy,
Thank you kindly for your reply. I set it just now for 74.
If I want to run the A10 without the humidity, how should I do that? Turn off “Comfort”? And then keep the hose temp at 73-74?

Re: Experience in this simple silicone product to replace the tape on the mouth ?
The chinstrap I use is made by a small business on the west coast by the engineer who designed it. I have been using them close to 10 years with success. They have three styles. The only difference between them is the material used. The designer has a video right on his website about why the strap w...

Re: Experience in this simple silicone product to replace the tape on the mouth ?
No. I do not have any experience with this product. However if your jaw drops during your sleep, your mouth will open either slightly or a lot. In either case your teeth no longer will be holding the device in place and it will fail to solve the problem. I would love to get rid of the tape so I alwa...

HELP! I need to sleep tonight!
ResMed A10 for Her How can I be sure my humidifier will be working tonight? In the Settings menu the Climate Control is “ON” and the heated hose is at 73 degrees. Do I have to set anything else to have warm air blowing into my mask? Endless thanks if you can answer this before bedtime tonight!!!!!!!...

Re: Does the ResMed Airsense10 Have an Off & On for the Heated House and Humidity?.
I did not go back to this board after Pugsy replied to my question, so my apologies. It’s only been four years since you asked your question! 🙃. and I am wondering if you ever found a power supply for your cpap machine. At the time I wrote this, my husband had built his own small power supply for ab...

Re: Tape Users/Others: I felt like I wasn't getting any air and awoke.
Using tape scares me, especially recently where my machine was turning off in the middle of the night and ended up being broken, so I had to buy a new one. You wouldn't want to suffocate in the middle of the night if the machine malfunctions. Joel Do you mean it was literally turning off, or was it...

Re: Tape Users/Others: I felt like I wasn't getting any air and awoke.
Emerita, Finally reached cpap provider; the local office mgr. She read data, couldn't find anything. I gave her details of the events. She sounded surprisingly sympathetic, but she probably is "in a box". I would bet she needs data proof for her company before she can give me a loaned cpac machine a...

Re: Tape Users/Others: I felt like I wasn't getting any air and awoke.
Had third night of Res Med cpap machine shutting off oxygen at falling asleep point. Have downloaded the new Oscar version and will set it up once I get back to having a good night's sleep. Thinking is not up to running a new software. Call in to my local provider for a loaner and to have current ma...

Miss Emerita:
I have the older rendition of Oscar on my pc, but have lost the password to it. There is a newer version available on this website so I'm thinking that I could delete the old version of Oscar and set up a new account when I download the newest version. Do you think that would work?

Re: Question for those who use nasal mask and tape mouths
Country, I have the same type of tinnitus and have seen an ENT for that and my hearing problem. He told me that in some people the ear channel is very close to a major artery near the ear and they can hear their heartbeat. For these people it is a natural occurrence. I have learned to live with it a...

Re: Tape Users/Others: I felt like I wasn't getting any air and awoke.
Tried the cpap machine this afternoon to watch for any drop outs of air flow to the mask. None occurred. However 40 minutes is not enough of a time trial. Hopefully my experience will not repeat itself.

Re: Tape Users/Others: I felt like I wasn't getting any air and awoke.
Can tape be cut too long? Yes, if it covers your mouth and nose. Seriously, I would just chalk it up to a fluke and watch to see if it happens again. I will give machine a try this afternoon and see if air cuts in and out. Lack of air is a scary feeling, so hate to repeat the incident tonight. Ther...

Re: Tape Users/Others: I felt like I wasn't getting any air and awoke.
Thanks for replying Miss Emerita The machine is fairly new, purchased in July of 2019. I don’t recall any other incident or sounds. No, haven’t used Oscar. Hope it’s user friendly. Cpap has terms and a lingo of its own to figure out; then diving into Oscar is possible. I kept putting installation of...

Tape Users/Others: I felt like I wasn't getting any air and awoke.
I have a ResMed AirSense 10 machine and use their AirfitN30i mask. I also use the Knightsbridge dual chinstrap and 3M's Nexcare sensitive skin tape. My sleep has been typical of sleep apnea, but usually satisfying and restful until this week. Several days ago I cut a number of tapes to have ready to...
