Re: Low AHI but still lightheaded dizzy sleepy fatigued

Been feeling better without Cpap for about 2 weeks. Tried restarting therapy with higher pressures like 14-16 and wake up with gas, burping, stomach pains and cramps.

Why so many problems with CPAP?

Does it really work?

Re: Low AHI but still lightheaded dizzy sleepy fatigued

Stopped using CPAP for 5 days and my lightheaded dizziness off-balance have almost disappeared. Still tired and sleepy. Maybe I have UARS instead of sleep apnea but CPAP should still work.

Are bipap or ASV better for UARS?

Thanks!

Re: Low AHI but still lightheaded dizzy sleepy fatigued

@palerider EPR pressure support is only 0-3. Very limited PS unlike bilevel. I see, reality isn't your forte... got it... moving on. Geez palerider. That's rude. Do you know it is rude? Do you care? Nope, don't care, can't tell omar anything, he's already made up his mind, facts don't matter, tired...

Re: Low AHI but still lightheaded dizzy sleepy fatigued

Since it was working for you before and doesn't seem to be working as well now, then perhaps something has changed? No New medication? No Quit a medication? No Is your blood pressure lower than normal? No Sleeping differently, or different bed / pillow. etc? No Have you been sick? No Eating later? N...

Are there any drugs to give me energy?

I need medications to help me function. I'm pretty useless as is. It's really humiliating and embarrassing to be honest.
Maybe it's not CPAP. :?
Have you tried Cialis? :D

Just here to help,
JPB
Trying to get medications because CPAP is ineffective.

Re: Low AHI but still lightheaded dizzy sleepy fatigued

@palerider EPR pressure support is only 0-3. Very limited PS unlike bilevel. Most people don't need more than 3. I have never set mine past 2. I certainly would not pay an extra $700 or more just to get a feature I do not need. Better to get best device and turn off unneeded features. Says the guy ...

the pressure was screwing up your inner ears, throwing off your balance/ lightheaded etc.
Yes I feel lightheaded dizzy off-balance on cpap. I stopped using it and symptoms going away. There seems to be quite a lot of similar posts. Not sure why it's ignored.

Re: Low AHI but still lightheaded dizzy sleepy fatigued

Stopped using CPAP device last 3 nights because seems ineffective after 2.5 years. Snoring now, still fatigued, and sleepy but lightheaded, dizziness starting to subside. Mental focus seems better. Any reasons why?

I read a post that CPAP devices stop tracking apneas after 1.5 years. Any truth?

Cpap usually lowers BP to some extent and if yours is naturally on the low side, it can make you feel lightheaded in the a.m. - check it with your MD, see if that could be a problem (possibly needing a pressure tweak).
Been tweaking pressures for over a year now. Not helping me.

Re: Low AHI but still lightheaded dizzy sleepy fatigued

@Chapalauser I'm always sleepy and never dream too. Did you get an ASV titration? Which ASV device do you have? My doctors won't allow me to get an ASV device until I get a bilevel titration first and qualify for a bipap device. If that doesn't work then they will consider an ASV titration. Otherwis...
