Re: How I Prevented Mouth-breathing and Mask Leaks and Learned To Love the Bomb

I used clear Breathe Rite strips for Sensitive Skin to open my nose better before I got a CPAP machine.

They don't hurt the skin when you carefully remove them.

@palerider
EPR pressure support is only 0-3. Very limited PS unlike bilevel.
I see, reality isn't your forte... got it... moving on.
Geez palerider. That's rude. Do you know it is rude?

Do you care?

Does it meet forum guidelines for respect when disagreeing?

Re: Making progress or should I discontinue APAP? Trying to figure out if apnea is the cause of my daily exhaustion

Recently I discovered that if I waited until I was really tired, like even 3am, and then sleep only six hours I would feel perky all day. If I went to bed too early, I'd not get the deep sleep needed in those critical first sleep cycles of the night. I am retired and so can get up when I want to. Th...

Re: 100% User and still dead tired??

Interesting. Thanks. I am fighting similar fatigue. I began to suspect it is not the length of sleep, when I had some GREAT days of pure energy and ambition after just 6 hrs of sleep. Going to bed at 2:30am and sleeping to 8:30am and I would feel great. If I went to bed at 11pm, I would often not fe...

Re: CPAP.com Phone number issue

USMCVet, One of the ad offered involved sleep. I did notice that. Others were for vacations, etc. What you say makes sense about transferring a call and it not showing up on my phone. I likely misdialed then, though it bothers me that I would misdial after I was actually trying to carefully dial the...

Re: CPAP.com Phone number now all ads.

That is what I dialed. It switched to 1-800-353-5221 and the ads started. I have never had anything like that happen before. I just tried the correct number again and it worked. Weird. You misdialed, simple as that. There's nothing CPAP.com could do to change the number showing on your phone. Isn't...

CPAP.com Phone number issue

I called the CPAP.com support number (1-800-356-5221) and somehow got nothing but spam ad offers! Seemed really sleezy. I looked at my phone and the number showing was now 1-800-35 3 -5221. I redialed the correct number, and the same thing happened. I redialed again, and it went through to CPAP.com ...

When I buy headgear is it NEW, or is it a possibly recycled return?

When I buy a new headgear or mask online, how can I be sure I am getting never used, factory-sealed equipment? I don't want a disinfected/recycled and professionally repackaged mask or headgear that was a return. What do they do with the returns? By law I would think they need to be labeled as secon...

Re: Discovery: Airfit P30i airflow restricts with firm bed pillow

My nasal passages have always been easily "collapsible" on my side. So I may have an anatomy sensitive to perfect airflow. Last night I went to clinical settings with the machine next to me blowing air, and I rotated the dial to raise the minimum pressure as I lay on my side until I "felt' totally u...

Re: Discovery: Airfit P30i airflow restricts with firm bed pillow

Yes, I am aware there is a tube along each side. But as realshelby noted, pinch one and I can feel a difference. I get a slight air hunger again. I am quite sensitive to it. I, too, thought the headpiece would compensate since people do sleep on their sides. I suppose a little softer pillow is in or...

Re: Discovery: Airfit P30i airflow restricts with firm bed pillow

Thanks, Pugsy! I can see now that there are so many things to get one's personal CPAP setup just right. I can see how a lot of people can have a terrible or suboptimal CPAP experience if they don't learn what the experts on this forum know about how to set it up properly. What a great resource this ...

Discovery: Airfit P30i airflow slightly restricts with my firm bed pillow

Hi folks, First, I am SO glad I found this forum. I learned to try setting my minimum pressure a bit higher, from 5 to 6, and how to do it on my ResMed AirSense 10 APAP. What a difference from my first night! I could breathe normally, as if I did not have a CPAP on at all. Beautiful! But I also disc...
