Does anyone know if these BiPAP machines are auto adjusting or just at fixed pressures?
Thank you.

Leak measurements, ResMed vs Phillips
I use a DreamStation CPAP with DreamWear nasal cushions. During my machine set up, the mask type was not selected (no options for that mask). So, when a leak is measured, is machine still allowing for expected mask vent leak? My husband’s ResMed Cpap measures leak differently and it’s confusing. I r...

Water leakage from mask
I use a DreamWear nasal cushions mask which I love, but lately there have been drops of water that drip down from the mask. I keep humidity and the hose heat both at max of 5, and no heat in the room (around 60 degrees at night). Any thoughts?? Thank you.

Re: Pressure changes
Thanks for info on installing Oscar. I’m in the process of getting a new computer. But I have some generic questions if anyone can help with, as try to improve my understanding. Back to my 90% pressure question. At first I thought it was used to adjust the minimum pressure. But it seems to guide the...

Pressure changes
Hello, I have a couple of basis questions. I’m on auto cpap, 6-12 cmH20. My 90% pressure is always around 10. My AHI is ~5 and I’d like to increase my pressure. Do I increase the minimum pressure? Does the 90% pressure mean that my minimum pressure needs to be close to that pressure to prevent apnea...

Re: Pleural effusion- related to CPAP?
Thank you all for the feedback. Wulfman - Can you clarify how cleaning CPAP “too much” can be problematic? What qualifies as too much? The mask is the only thing I wash daily, and rinse the water chamber. I’ve heard that bathrooms can be contaminated with micro spray and e-coli when toliets are flus...

Pleural effusion- related to CPAP?
I’m a fairly new CPAP user (4 months). I have developed a small right sided pleural effusion (fluid in pleural space), and possibly small pneumonia. It is very atypical because I wasn’t sick and had no cough, cold, fevers... It started with severe sharp pain with inspiration- like pleurisy. I underw...

Re: BiPAP pressures
Thank you. The PS is set at 8. With Default BiPAP pressure. Is that an appropriate PS? Or can you tell without a download ? He just got the machine.

Re: BiPAP pressures
So, there is no max for the EPAP, and no min for the IPAP?
If the machine is able to sense how much pressure is needed, why does PS need to be specified?
Thank you!

BiPAP pressures
Hi everyone, I really appreciated the advice I received recently - thank you! My brother-in-law has questions regarding his BiPAP. I’m trying to understand the pressure settings. He has an auto BiPAP order at default pressures of 4-25. Does this represent a min and max for both EPAP and IPAP? Or, is...
