Re: Pillow amplifies mask noise
I already have a white noise machine running at night. Since I like to sleep on my side, I don't think headphones would work well. They wouldn't be comfortable between my head and my pillow and even if they were somehow, they'd probably come off in the night.

Re: Pillow amplifies mask noise
I think that's the cause but I can't be sure. All I know is that sleeping on my side causes a lot of noise as I breathe - deeper-pitched noises like, say breathing through a mask, and higher pitched noises like squeaky, whiny noises like air leaking through a small opening. I've used nasal pillows f...

Pillow amplifies mask noise
I've been using a Phillips Respironics System One with a nasal pillow mask for years. I use a cpap pillow with the usual cutouts and like to sleep on my side. My cpap pillows (I have several) seem to significantly amplify any little noises my mask and any little leaks make. This is loud enough to an...

Re: mask vent blowing on me and my spouse
I don't understand how the gauze is used in the picture. Your mask looks similar to mine but that placement of the gauze wouldn't do anything on my mask. I guess your gauze covers the exhale port on your mask. Mine would have to cover the exhaust port at the bottom of the clear hard plastic connecto...

mask vent blowing on me and my spouse
I use a Phillips Nuance Pro Nasal Pillow Mask and it has a vent at the bottom of the mask where it joins the hose to the machine. This vent blows on me and my spouse during the night. This is very annoying. I have read that some people will put a piece of gauze over the vent to diffuse the "exhaust"...

Re: mask noise in pillow
My machine is a Respironics System One. I haven't tried other nasal pillow masks but earlier on used a mask that covered my nose. That mask was horrible - it leaked like crazy around the edges and i tried everything to try to "fix" it. I finally decided the best fix was to toss it in the trash. I di...

mask noise in pillow
I've been using cpap for a number of years now due to mild/moderate sleep apea. I started with a nose mask (covers the nose) and it leaked everywhere and drove me nuts. I switched to nasal pillows and adjusted to them pretty easily, EXCEPT... I use a Phillips Nuance Pro Nasal Pillow Mask size XL and...
