Re: Sleepy study for 16yo son $$$$
Sorry for taking so long to get back with the sleep study, i started a new job and it took a few weeks for me to get over being exhausted after work. What i recall from the paperwork that is at home.... sleep apnea score was 1.8 - Snoring... was low (don't recall the number) what really affected his...

Re: Sleepy study for 16yo son $$$$
Sleep study was Thursday night, he loved all the attention the techs were giving him and had 8 millions questions about the wires and information feedback.
We have the followup appointment next tuesday. Hopefully we will find out a solution to his horrible sleeping not sleeping issues.

Re: Sleepy study for 16yo son $$$$
That sounds exactly reversed. What did the ENT say about the condition of son one's airway? Son1 has no airway constrictions, asthma nor severe allergies. His tonsils are fine too. Crazy you'd think son2 would be having issues too but no. He could have issues later in life. My new ENT is connecting...

Re: Sleepy study for 16yo son $$$$
This son's mouth is fantastic - perfectly spaced teeth, no crowding, no gum issues, all coming in straight and never a cavity. Son2 has too many teeth in a tiny mouth, total mess. lol At 8.5 yo he had to have pallet expanders top and bottom for almost 1.5 years, then crazy looking braces for a year....

Re: Sleepy study for 16yo son $$$$
(The CPT code for a lab study is 95810. If the lab intends to do CPAP titration during the study, the CPT code is 95811.) Has your son's airway been evaluated by an ENT? It's possible he has enlarged tonsils and/or adenoids. This could cause breathing problems during sleep. Surgical removal might c...

Re: Dreamstation Ultra Fine Filter
I received my new Dreamstation Auto from a local DME it came with nothing not even the cheapy hose. I called and complained, moved onto a online DME who fixed me up with everything and then some. Heated hose & extra filters - both kinds - along with the a new mask that the local DME was suppose to s...

Re: Starting CPAP w/Septum Piercing Irritation
I use a full face mask the Resmed Airtouch/Airfit F20, no issue other than drooling. I do like the Dreamwear FFM (looks like Bane) too. I have to adjust the nasal hole just right to get the pressure off the piercing. Most nights I use the Airtouch, just overall easier.

Re: Anyone find something "better" than RESMED F20 FFM
Yes I’ve read extensive reviews on every mask. I find the reviews only somewhat helpful because most users do not come back to update the review when they find a mask that’s better. For me... the F20 interferes with my eyes because of how far up it sits on my face. It leaks unless pulled so tight t...

Re: DME is sending a new machine....say what?
I would expect that you would ONLY receive a replacement machine and not all that other stuff. After all, it was only the machine that quit.......and you should have already had all of that other stuff to attach to your replacement machine. Don't be surprised if they bill you (or your insurance) fo...

Re: DME is sending a new machine....say what?
So the new machine - PR Dreamstation with humidifier. Finally received a box dropped shipped from the local DME, it showed up Wednesday. Insurance company (Athem BCBS of CA) checked in every day with me "have you received anything from the DME?" No " Okay, thanks I will call tomorrow" this goes on f...

DME is sending a new machine....say what?
I had to find a new DME (switched from Baycare to BCBS-CA based insurance though I live in Florida) when my trusted S9 gave up the ghost a month ago. I call insurance they send me to Apria - no help kept losing info about me & insurance, next business was an Oxygen supply place that sells ...oxygen ...

Re: Has anybody been told to use a CPAP IMMEDiATELY after a sleep test
Feb 2013 I had my sleep test. That afternoon I had a DME rep at my door with the S9 & gear in hand. My doc didn’t tell me until later he sort of freaked when he received my report & immediately called a meeting with my insurance and the local DME. I love my doc. I recall something about “well insura...
