Re: Semi-permanently disabling modem in ResMed Airsense 10
You're not representing accurately all that's going on in this topic. ie: While it's agreed that ResMed IS uploading data, there is NO evidence that ResMed has anything beyond the machine serial number. (unless one volunteers and supplies said personal information via providing it via MyAir Some ar...

Re: Semi-permanently disabling modem in ResMed Airsense 10
WOW! Sending my personal, federally protected health information to a device manufacturer without my PRIOR knowledge or consent? Haven't these people heard of HIPAA? I don't remember ever seeing any Privacy Notice from Resmed. Haven't these people heard of HIPAA? Then releasing it to another company...

Re: Semi-permanently disabling modem in ResMed Airsense 10
1) If UHC paid for monitoring, you should have gotten an EOB stating they did. 2) Once you meet the compliance requirements of your insurer, nobody CARES about your data unless you happen to be working with the occasional doctor who is working closely with you to help you find optimal treatment (do...

Re: Semi-permanently disabling modem in ResMed Airsense 10
As far as I am aware, the machine connects to Resmed (the manufacturer), not to your DME. The DME *may* have your Resmed account related to their monitoring account so that they can view your data. and then BILL the insurance company and ME for a "monitoring service" Just curious if the insurance company ever paid anything for the "monitoring service"? Probably, I asked if the insurance company [UHC] has any financial interest in the third party company supplying the device and monitoring ser...

Re: Semi-permanently disabling modem in ResMed Airsense 10
Just wanted to say THANK YOU for this post! The company that provided this CPAP is trying to perpetually milk me and my insurance company by using the wifi to collect data (WITHOUT MY PERMISSION) and then BILL the insurance company and ME for a "monitoring service" I have repeatedly refused. Now, th...
