Losing my sh*t....

I started using the Resmed AirSense10 Autoset several months ago. This was my second machine in about 6 years. The old one worked just fine, but I liked the features this new one offered, so I made the switch. At first, all was fine - I especially loved the nasal pillows mask. It fit well and didn't...

Distilled Water?

Hello everyone. I've been religiously using distilled water for my CPAP as per the CPAP's instructions. lately, I've had a couple of people tell me that since our local water is so clean (Western Canada), there really is no need to use distilled water.

Any thoughts on this?

Re: Nightmare

the dream Go to the OSCAR display. Find the Events tab on the left middle. Click on it. You will get a list of all events showing the time and length of the events. See if there was an event(s) immediately before you woke up. Observe the type of event. (I am assuming you turned the machine off as s...

Re: Nightmare

I don't know what happened here. Was it because I was on my back? Or, was I somehow struggling to breathe? Or both? Or neither. Your horrible nightmare could be completely unrelated to CPAP therapy. All too often people on CPAP try to create a link between occurrences and their CPAP treatment, when...

Re: Nightmare

It was also suggested that I download the Oscar software. I did download and installed it, but I'm not sure what I should be looking for. I had called my CPAP provider and he was able to login and told me that he saw an episode at about 2:10 am where I had an obstruction, but based on the image belo...

Nightmare

Sorry, I posted this elsewhere, but it was suggested that I start my own thread I don't normally suffer from nightmares (for at last 20 or 30 years since my last one), but this one was a doozy. It is almost 3 am here and I am afraid to return to bed and afraid to go back to sleep - it was so real. A...

Re: Nightmares and Night Terrors on the CPAP

You can see at about 2:13 am I awoke (from my nightmare) and at about 4:15 am I finally went back to sleep. I called my CPAP supplier and he said he could see that I had an apnea event just before waking at about 2:10 am. What should I be looking for? The image is attached. http://buwalda.ca/oscar.j...

Re: Nightmares and Night Terrors on the CPAP

This looks like an old thread, but it came up when I googled "CPAP nightmare screaming drowning". I don't normally suffer from nightmares (for at last 20 or 30 years since my last one), but this one was a doozy. It is almost 3 am here and I am afraid to return to bed and afraid to go back to sleep -...
