Re: ResMed versus Respironics

I’ve used both Dreamstation and the auto set. I much prefer the auto set because it ramps a lot faster when you need it. And all the extra bells and whistles gives it that slight edge too

Re: resmed auto sense for her VS phillips dreamstation apap

I had a Respironics Dreamstation Auto for a month these are my thoughts. However I settled on a Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset as the way it ramped pressures suited me alot better than the Respironics. Both can communicate with doctors . I personally don't bother with the apps and use sleepyhead to trac...

Re: THE GREAT PILLOW EXCHANGE

Hey an Australian here...

I got a MEDIUM AIRFIT F20 Cushion that's been used for only 1 week with a Remzzz liner so its still pristine.
I'm after a couple? LARGE AIRTOUCH MEMORY FOAM F20 Cushion new.

I'll keep it local to keep postage costs down.

Re: Minimum Pressure vs pressure spike.

The mask I have now is fitting fairly well but I got a larger one in the mail. I can’t grow much hopefully a handful of strands don’t effect it too much!

Re: Minimum Pressure vs pressure spike.

Pretreatment AHI was 15 on sides - 90 on my back!

That would explain why for me it seems the pressure would spike instead of gradual changes for others?

Last night was good! I'm going to give it some time then bumping it up to 9.6-10 cmh20

Re: Minimum Pressure vs pressure spike.

If you needed a pressure of 11 during your study, WHY would you think 6 would be OK at home?? I'd suggest at LEAST 10 for the minimum to start, and you will probably end up a bit higher than that. Fom my past readings there has been reports of the Autoset being more "aggressive" or being able to tr...

Re: Minimum Pressure vs pressure spike.

Sounds good to me. I was thinking if more of these spikes occur every few days or once a week or so I should cap the max pressure and ride through the episodes rather than disturb sleep?? I got a larger mask in the mail so hopefully that tightens up leak and comfort even further. Maybe I can tolerat...

Re: Minimum Pressure vs pressure spike.

I bumped it up to 9 just after I made the post.

There was practically no OA however I did wake up in the middle of the night when the pressure jumped to 15

Here is the sleep report.

Minimum Pressure vs pressure spike.

I had a sleep trial done with an Dreamstation APAP. The machine was NOT responsive enough so my sleep clinician had set it on CPAP mode on 11 for the remainder of the trial However now I have a S10 Autoset and have dialled in a APAP setting of 6-20 for the first night. Now I am getting pressure spik...
